Not one of those games has sold a million copies.  Read thread title again :P

What do you mean?

You can complain all you want, but even a "clean" list would show Microsoft winning.

Except I didn't complain at all, not even once, so, again, what are you talking about?

While I'm not sure what we're supposed to get from this list, I don't have a problem with it.  The 360 has sold a lot of software.  Sure, being a year older and having a full year without competition helped a lot, and Kinect obviously added a ton to that total, but the numbers are what they are.  I never said Kinect titles shouldn't count, though thinking about it now, if this were some kind of official list, they probably should have an asterisk.  Unless he tried to spin the values, which he didn't, then I see no reason to complain.

So, yeah, what are you talking about?

Title is misleading. Many of the games in the Microsoft list weren't even published by Microsoft.

This is a PS3 vs Xbox 360 list. It compares the 360 vs the PS3. The OP made it absolutely clear what his definition of exclusive is. If you don't like it, feel free to leave the thread.

Someone comparing 360 and PS3 should include any game that is available on one of those plattforms, but not on the other. There were 5 million people paying $60 for Left 4 Dead on 360, let's pretend this game does not made a difference in a comparison with the PS3, because it is on PC as well. Is the PS3 bundled with a $499 gaming PC? If not:

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Regardless of exclusivity, 3rd party, or 1st party. Despite the near parity of hardware sold between the two, Microsoft has a significant leads in software. Even when you look at the 300th slot the slot is higher on the MS than on the SONY side. It's just a fact.

I am a SONY fan this gen (don't read that as necessarily fanboy). It's a fact guys. Get over it.

Hm, last time I checked exclusive game means you can't play the game on any other platform. So if you crossed Zumba fitness because it's on Wii too, leaving all those games that are available on PC too is...well, discrimination.

Gears of War
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Mass Effect
Alan Wake
Fable 3
Splinter Cell Conviction

= PC

Nice try

You missed Warhawk (1.01M)

Also GT5 is undertracked, it has already past the 9M mark  http://www.polyphony.co.jp/english/list.html

Well here is a few...
-I think you meant Warhawk, not Starhawk = 1.01m
-Ninja Gaiden Sigma = 1.09m
-Hot Shots Golf:Out of Bounds = 1.08
-Kinect Adventures is a bit of a stretch, seeing as the game isn't even sold seperately from the Kinect. Just like Wii Sports and Wii Fit, I think it seems a bit padding to include such games.
-No Mass Effect

At the end of the day Microsoft comes out selling more games , but also they probably put more money into them. MS's marketing is unmatched and that costs them the most, I am starting to think they spend more on marketing a game then actually developing it. Didn't Kinect have a $10 million marketing campaign?

And your list should specify that you are only referring to PS3 and 360 exclusive retail games. Sony, by sheer pedigree has tons of other exclusives from the PS line going back to PS1. Rememer, GT's before sold like 14million each, alongside most of the currently Multiplat games were exclusives to PS, also Sony has quite a few exclusive PSP titles that sold extremely well. If that is included, Sony assuredly sells more.

Greatness Awaits

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)

I think we ought to probably use the term network exclusive in the future. Sony are likely to start offering their games on the Playstation store on Android shortly and Microsoft already has started calling games on Windows 8 Xbox as well.

Tease.
