Wtf? You respect people more just for owning one single video game console and ignoring the competition? Do you have less respect for people who are not loyal to their favorite brand? That makes no sense. If you own all or at least more than one console, your opinion is more informed. An informed opinion deserves more respect than an opinion coming from a guy who refuses to take a close look at the competition. |

that makes no sense, most people who consider themselves gamers, have ninty portable of some kind.

I disagree, nintendo handhelds do not offer much for all gamers.

same here, I could have bought the other consoles long ago, but I don't even have time for all the PS3 titles I own, so there is no need for me to buy another console
OT IMHO, its all boils down to being an adult. This loyalty stuff is cute, when you are younger and more likely to own one system, cause thats all you get. Loyal because you're to naive to see how stupid it is to be "loyal" to some faceless corporation. You get older, you see how silly that whole notion is, at least i hope some people do.
I buy multi-console because I have a greater range of stuff to play, its that simple.
Now thats not to say i dont prefer one product to the next or devote more time to one product, thats human. Damn near impossible not to be like that. When a person speaks ill about a system, but never owned it, people are much less inclined to take what they have to say serious, what are they basing their opinions on? Videos? Thats called here say. Now when i speak of my issues with the WIi, thats first hand experience. I've had one for years, its not me commenting on some videos

so what do you buy as an alternative portable device? If you dont buy portable devices for gaming. THen fair enough, have a nice day.
It's all good as long as you don't like the monstrosities that are the WiiU and 3DS.

Arg! You beat me to it, wfz :)
@OP: When I was younger it was a lot of fun to go a few rounds with that friend who owned the "other" system. But as a grown-up video game enthusiast, I must own all systems. If you're a movie buff you watch all movies. If you're a foodie you test out all the restaurants. If you're a video game hobbyist you play all the games. If anything, we should reward people for moving outside their comfort zones, and exposing themselves to different kinds of video games, published for different kinds of consoles.
