Do westerners think in like a creativity bubble or something?

What do you mean?  Bungie is one of the most respected developers today.  Even helped Nuaghty Dog with Uncharted.  If you dont like Bungie then that is ok, but they did revolutionize FPS games to what they are today on consoles

I said western developers lacking creativity. I never said anything about lacking talent. Western developers have owned this whole gen when it comes to talent.

Even revolutionary ideas come from inspiration found in allready established ideas from someone else.

Then why dont they revolutionize something?

Too hit or miss. Leave it to the Japanese to get the new ideas out and the Western guys will perfect it. Tis the way of the industry.

Amen. You hit the nail on the head. Beware, they might learn from their mistakes this gen and come back with a new fire  next gen though.

I see what you mean now.  In all fairness though this is the industry in a whole.  Japanese developers seem to do anime mostly.  No all developers but a lot anyways.

Amen to that. Halo: CE is one of the truly revolutionary titles in the history of video games.

Really? I dunno. It opened the world up to a pick up and play style game that had many variations of itself running around on PC at the same time.

Anime is just a style, they choose not to make characters completely realistic, but it doesn't stop their ability to create new styles of games.

Yes really.  It brought FPS to consoles with a great online as well as coop.  There is a lot more to it than that but Im sure I can send you plenty of videos to explain why Halo became popular in the first place and why it will be remembered for it because of it.

I think there are three main things Halo accomplished.

1) It provided the nascent Xbox with a "killer app," thus securing Microsoft's spot in the gaming world.

2) It introduced features, control schemes, and themes that have, for better or for worse, infiltrated almost every mainstream first-person shooter since.

3) It shifted first-person shooters away from computers and onto home consoles.

Halo was just the perfect formula for a shooter that everyone could play. It set the standard for console  FPS. Didnt revolutionize anything that wasn't already done on PC before.

This. Halo was the blue print.

Once again, for consoles, and it was also listed along with Half life as the best FPS of that time.
