my predictions bro, halo 4 should sell.. maybe 2.4m in america... i'm being optimistic.

man you are funny. you think halo 4 will sell as much as reach first week, then you see that halo 4 is tracking behind reach in pre-orders here on vgc and you still say these numbers are overtracked.

i still think all you believe and you could be absolutey right with that is - cod is undertracked.

No, i just believe cod will take halo's audience.

i wonder if you even realize what you are talking about...you just said halo 4 will sell as much as reach first week but are talking about overtracked halo 4 pre-orders even if they are lower as reach pre-orders.

so what you want to say is: halo 4 will sell as much as reach but pre-orders have to be much lower because cod will sell more as halo 4 and it is only tracking slightly above halo 4 but instead of saying cod is undertracked which would make sense then i say halo is overtracked.

just lol

OMG! i swear you need to read into things a little more, i said i was being optimistic about halo 4 matching reach's first week sales, i actually don't expect it to sell that much... kay?

OMG really? but you realized that halo 4 is tracking 200k behind reach right? so yes you were optimistic but even if you take some hundred k away you have exactly what vgc is estimating. maybe you should learn to read in the numbers more and learn to understand them.

it can't be so hard to understand for you that everything you said is a hint for undertracked cod numbers because that's what you always used to compare with halo.

or maybe you are just wrong and i wanted to explain it to you but failed hard because you use one illogical argument after the next instead of accepting it that it is much more likey that cod is undertracked as that halo is overtracked.

Logic doesn't = fact my friend, and the only way we will officially know if these games were under or overtracked is to wait for the official numbers

Because your right and i'm wrong then?

Logic doesn't = fact my friend, and the only way we will officially know if these games were under or overtracked is to wait for the official numbers

that is right, we will only know with official numbers but YOU started to use unofficial numbers.

so just to put that in one post what you said:

1. halo 4 is overtracked

2. it is overtracked because cod is selling better. who cares that cod pre-orders are higher, have one more weeek to go and are  behind pre-orders for the last cod games which could mean cod is undertracked or could maybe sell less as the predecessor (which i don't believe at least for first week)

3. you said reach is also overtracked but looking at npd numbers and official microsoft numbers the first week tracking should be absolutely fine on vgc, overall numbers aren't necessary for the pre-orders.

4. you think halo 4 could sell 2.4 million first week but that this is optimistic. reach sold 2.3 million first week and halo 4 is atm 200k behind reach in preorders on vgc which could very well mean it would sell "only" let's say 1.9 million first week or even less (who knows where pre-order will be in two weeks, maybe 300k or more behind reach). so if 2.4 million is optimistic from you, don't you think you would at least believe 1.9 million as sales?

5.  if that i what you said, why exactly do you still think your theory is more plausible as mine which is that cod could be undertracked and that this is the reason why cod is only so much in front of halo in pre-orders?

Look, i don't know if halo is over/undertracked, and neither do you, but i do believe halo should be closer to black ops on ps3. "that's all"

that is absolutely fine and i also believe that but with all the numbers we have i still think it isn't because of too high halo numbers, it is because of too low cod numbers. it even makes sense to pre-order it this time with the extra map.

and yeah, let's stop now haha

Pathetic comments. Halo and call of Duty are going to effect each others numbers. You all are also acting surprised by this as if you all didnt know these are the two most popular games of this generation for the 360/PS3 and are both in the FPS genre with online features. Halo 4 just had its first commercial so the pre-order numbers will be skyrocketing now. Halo was popular way before Call of Duty so you will see a lot of people abandon call of duty for halo, but its likely that same will happen vice versa. VGC numbers are pretty inaccurate a lot of the time so just wait for the official announcement, but Halo 4 and Call of Duty will probably sale very similar to each other for the first week on 360. I don't really see why that was an argument but ok
