so far DLCs have been map packs and it was initially stated by the devs that all maps packs will be free

The maps are free for all... the items are free only for Plus... normal users have to play $0.99 per DLC with items.

I would get PS plus if I had a bigger hard drive, Will upgrade later this year.

I hope this stimulates sales for Starhawk, it's a great game but has failed dismally sales wise (if vgchartz numbers are correct)

Sweet thing is you can still play and have others spawn DLC stuff for you. So instead of actually dividing the player base, they are rather encouraging for others to buy if they really want it. Smart as hell and it doesnt ruin my experience one bit (although im getting plus anyway XD).
