I work 2 desk jobs. And I lost 18 pounds. Just by managing my food intake. Total BS.

yea thats pretty silly. Honestly the media have said that everything can kill you at some stage. I sit from basically wake up to sleep at a desk but go to the gym most days and every hour or so get up and sprint on the spot or do some squats. the only thing i worry about sitting along time is my eyes they get real sore from looking at screens al day wonder if that can make you blind

Just because you are losing weight, doesn't necessarily mean you're getting healthier. There's a strong correlation between weight, fitness, and health, but none of those attributes are equivalent. I can be fatter than you and still be fitter and healthier than you.

The fact is, however healthy your lifestyle is otherwise, it would most likely be healthier still if you sat around less.

But are you really?, Compared to someone your age, hight etc that doesnt sit much and is very active would you say your as healty??.

How do you know it won't effect you 5-10 years down the line? its meant to waste 7 quality years of life if you sit around for 6 hours a day.


I don't believe this malarchy at all. Everyone stop being suckers, this is rediculous! I know for a fact that I'm healthy/fit even. My Doc says so as well that I have no issues at all.



           

I actually thought this was common fact. Sitting for long periods of time does cause health issues if you don't counter it with exercise.



Not surprisingly. Anything that barely requires any movement at all could contribute. My family thinks it's strange that I stand for most of the day, maybe showing this to them will stop them nagging me -.-
