Wow really? I have Virgin's cheapest package (10mb) and it works fine. Maybe you're in a rural location?

Just played FIFA demo on my macbook with a pretty average 8meg broadband connection... worked well - looked nice too.  I am going to do a little experiment tomorrow to see how much download it uses up if you play for half hour.  My ISP has a clock showing how much downloading you have used.

That would be useful! The bandwidth is a concern for me. I was pretty surprised a how good the games looked too.

What ISP do you have? For example I'm on BT's unlimited broadband option. However what it actually means is 300GB is your fair use amount. If you go over that then next month your speed is capped. Luckily I don't think i've ever got near 300GB lol. However I think most UK providers unlimited options have fair use amounts.

You are right that a lot of people here are capped though. Bt's other 2 broadband options are capped at 10GB and 40GB a month. I imagine you could blow through that very fast using online or gaikai.

Zen internet... there is a fair use, but Im not sure what it is and I have certainly never got near it.  I am switching to BT infinity next month though.

I had a little look and Zen internet's usage allowance varies between 10Gb to 200GB for personal use. 400GB or 2000GB if you have an office line though lol. 20GB for Lite, 100GB for active, 200GB for Pro.

With Bt infinity it is either 40GB or 'unlimited' depending on which plan you go with. The unlimited is also 300GB. After that you start getting throttled (internet use not real life =D) but won't ever be charged.

Interestingly one of the Zen Media usage allowance pages states that 20GB = 60hours of standard definition BBC iplayer. So basically 3 hours of SD video = 1GB I suppose. Will be interesting to see what your test shows with how much Gaikai uses. I can easily imagine it nearing 1GB per hour. Probably not an issue with 300GB of fair usage but at 40GB it would be a BIG issue.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

just tried Need for Speed... nowhere near as good, tiny bit of lag but looked pretty crappy.  I'll do the download useage test tomorrow.

Yeh, I'd expect racing and fighting games to suffer most.

I think my wifi is interfering a bit.........

Yeah, mine is nowhere near that good.

I got 3mbps download, and .5mbps upload.

That's the advertsied speeds. In reality my speeds are half of that most of the time.

i really have no clue why it is so lame here (i know why but not why my city doesn't change it), i live in the "ruhrgebiet" which you could call germany's biggest city since it is some cities growing in each other which means there is not really  space between them. maybe you heard about it if you are from netherlands. (essen, bochum, duisburg, gelsenkirchen, oberhausen and blabla...) but there is one little place in this huge "city" which has internet of the year 1857^^

E3 is soon guys.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)
