I am bored at work, and waiting for some results from an experiment so I decided to start this thread.

What I am interested in is a discussion regarding the US and its relations to other countries in the world, and my interest is mainly about the US-Iran relationship. How do you guys feel about the Iranians? Think we are all terrorists?

I think at this time our american posters will be asleep, so I think we might start of with european and australian posters.

I would like to start about the UN. What do you guys think it does, and is it useful at all?

It's sad that some people think that way and i'm not one of these people. I think you should be careful because U S and A might attack Iran soon, like they did with Iraq, although i understand their fear, because any nuclear bomb in the middle east would be very very dangerous.

You are Iranian, right? Do you think your country's president do wants to make a nuclear bomb or is just about peace? Will be interesting to hear it from an Iranian.

Yes I am an Iranian and yes I really think that the president does want a nuclear bomb. The thing is the president in Iran does not hold the power to do so. The Iranian system is really complicated.
I don't understand what you say regarding any nuclear bomb in the middle east would be very very dangerous though, Isreal has a lot of them and so does Pakistan.
Also I really doubt that the US of A will attack, they just seem to keep on backing down on any confrontation.

Israel, IMO, is like an U S and A representant on middle east. but i didn't knew about Pakistan, but they keep a good relation with america.

Nuclear bombs in middle east could easily make their way to terrorist's hands, and since everybody around there hates the U S n A they wouldn't be afraid to use it.

And i do think they will attack. Why? Because they can. As soon as they turn more of the world against Iran cause their only fear is other countries response to an attack.

So if you have good relations with the US it is ok to have a nuclear bomb? That sounds strange. When was the last time you heard of an Iranian terrorist? There are always talks about pakistani terrorists, and most of the guys that brought the WTC down were in fact pakistani and saudis. If you really are worried about the bomb falling into terrorists hands, you should have been worried when pakistan got the bomb.
And they can attack because they can? I doubt it.
Lets look at the countries the US has attacked.
Afghanistan, with zero defense capabilities. The cost of the cruise missles were more than the things they destroyed.
Iraq, a country that was sanctioned for a decade, could not even get a single fighter plane in the air (not because the US was good but because they were bad), newest military equipment belonged to the late 80's.
I hardly think you can compare the likes of these two countries to Iran, which is much more advanced.
After all, with all this talk about the Iranians supplying militants in Iraq with weapons and the fear that the US army has of those weapons, can you imagine what weapons they are not supplying? Do you think that they will give away their best weapons? If their second rate weapons can harm the US so much that it is constantly complaining and whining about it, imagine what their first rate weapons will do.
I do think that the US will not attack.

Actually, it's not that it's ok to have a nuclear bomb if you have a good relation with the US, it's that it's not ok to have a bomb if you got a fight with the US. And i should be worried about a bomb in Pakistani hands? This would sound like that i think all pakistanis are terrorists. I am worried with any bomb in middle east but at least Pakistan don't diss US everytime, and vice versa.

And yes, they can attack Iran and preety much any other country out there.
