How do we have it at VGC?

132k, already mentioned in the original post.

Derp. Thanks, I hadn't read the last line for some reason.

Vita is doing bad. PSP sold because of hype alone at the beginning (PS was huge, especially in Europe), which is something Vita couldn't do.

Still holding faith that it'll come good, will buy one if E3 produces the right games.

Well, you can't compare the two, really.

PSP was supposed to be the PS2 of portables. The thing was an emissary of Doom to Nintendo.

Vita is more like  "sup Nintendo, mind if I take this corner over here, I'll be quiet"

A more damning statement would be that PSP did 185k during its launch week.

And the 3DS did 113k in its first two days.

not what Sony thinks...

Sony’s upcoming next-gen handheld the PlayStation Vita is almost upon us and people are awaiting it with excitement and trepidation. Of course, that trepidation isn’t warranted. The Vita’s predecessor – the PlayStation Portable – was trampled by Nintendo’s DS in terms of sales and third-party support.

Well, if Sony is to be believed, the PlayStation Vita won’t have that problem. Sony’s aim for the Vita is to be the “number one handheld console in the world.” That’s the sentiment shared by Sony’s SVP of marketing Guy Longworth.

Longworth also that they have a “five to ten year plan” for their upcoming handheld. This is the same plan Sony has adapted with the PS3 and the PSP itself was on the market for a very long time.

I'm sure Sony will just claim that they "aren't really competing" with the 3DS. =P

Ah, of course they are going to say that. But it's not the same. The spirit with PSP was completely different. It was, back then, a flawless plan. PSV is not here to disintegrate the competition like before, I think it's here just to well, exist, build its place under the sun. Depending on the size of the place it can be good for all parts - Sony and users.

Having said that, it's not acomplishing even that, so yeah, needs improvment.
