Now it is not a myth and we have to act now otherwise this world will be in trouble as soon as possibly 20-30 years.

Where's the proof of this? To be completely honest, I don't buy into the "Global Warming" junk at all. We (humans) don't have nearly enough data in order to reach an accurate conclusion. We have a few centuries of data, but beyond that, we don't have a clue what happened. and the Earth being a few billion years old (much more data supporting this than global warming), could just shift between periods of really hot temperatures and really cold temperatures. I believe we need much more data than we currently have avalible in order to decide whether this is a real threat or not.

I agree kind of, sure i think the earth goes in cycles of really hot tempurature and really cold ones, maybe the planet is just thawing out and the cycle will keep going and there will be an ice age in the future(which scienist are predicting to happen in 100 million years i think i read somewhere). But there is proof and enough data that carbon dioxcide and other greenhouse gasses destroy and eat the atmosphere, so if we keep loading the earth with these toxins when it goes through its cycle the cold part(ice age or whatever you want to call it) will be warmer than usual, and the warmer part of the cycle will be extremely warmer than average.

I have no idea if what I said just makes sense but that is ok.

Yes, but I am saying that we don't really have enough data to know what kind of effect this will have. I agree that we shouldn't continue at the pace we are currently at with producing pollutants, but I still don't think that the change will be nearly as bad as the media makes it out to be.

No then we wouldn't have anywhere to go during winter!

for those who really trust the scientists in terms of global warming, take a look back into the past, because they used to predict global cooling (i believe mid 60's).

Must have been really cool to see snow in baghdad

Fair enough,I think we are agreeing with eachother.

I wish it would stop here... Last winter we had 2 months straight of snow (on the ground, a blizzard every week during those 2 months) and this winter, we've already had a few good blizzards and numerous smaller storms with more coming soon...

EDIT:

Mostly, but I'll leave it at that. ^_^

@ insomniac where do you live getting all that snow.

Global warming is right up my ally as I'm taking AP Environmental Science. It is an undeniable fact that the average temperature has been rising over the past century or so. However, the causes of this are unknown. There's some correlation between greenhouse gas emissions and increased temperatures, but it's hardly for sure. As we all know, correlation is not cause. There are plenty of possible natural causes for something like this. The sun's energy output varies and even the smallest fraction of a change could yield large increases in temperature. The temperature has fluctuated throughout earth's history.

Basically, there has been a ridiculous rise in greenhouse gas emissions, and people are scared because of the potential for major problems. Nothing's conclusive up to this point, though.

Likely cause for snowing in Baghdad: El Nino. It affects different areas in different ways and uncharacteristically cold weather is not too uncommon.

I guess the american troops over there were only two weeks off from getting a white Christmas. Also i looked at the forecast high of 51F tommorow in Baghdad no more snow.

Global warming is part of a planets cycle b4 it dies.

It gets too hot. We get disease from UV rays. Then Die.

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!
