There was I time I really cared for Blizzard games, but not anymore. They take SO MUCH TIME in making their games, that I dont care about them anymore. I will have my dungeon crawler/RPG fix with Darksiders II.

That is how the Diablo Franchise should evolve, and not being a point and click RPG.

Heck no, why would you want less variety? There are enough adventure/hack-and-slash games around, but not point-and-click epics like Diablo.

The point and click gameplay, takes away the epicness of the combat because you are watching too far away (the story is obviously Epic).  You dont have the enemy literally in YOUR FACE, and that takes away a lot of the experience.  Can you imagine a fight against diablo with some "God of War / Bayonetta / DMC fights" , THAT IS EPIC.. Throwing your spells, fighting hordes of demons, acquiring loot, leveling up.IT WOULD BE THE GAME BEST EVER. obviously without the QTE.  The sad thing is that in order to make that happen the game would release in 10 years from now.

I don't want that for my Diablo games, it would change how the games plays way too much. I like seeing the field all around my character, being able to cast a spell exactly where I want to, shoot arrows in many directions without having to turn my character, having a good idea of the size of the crowd that's coming towards me.

So I guess that means Heart of the Swarm in 2014?

Knowing Blizzard, that is the most probable thing really.   Because they will add those things that they cut, in order to have a 2012 release for Diablo III.  And dont forget about the Protoss related game, which will be released most probably by 3021.    I really dont get why they take so much time making their games.

They don't release a game until they're completely satisfied with it. It's been that way for years now.

There are lots of games that are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and only took 2-3 years to be done.   "Perfect the gameplay" is no excuse.    They are simply not efficient in making games.    In order to release DIABLO III they have taken 14 YEARS!!!! THAT IS INSANE, and for what?! A point and click game that has been butchered in order to make a 2012 release, and which also looks a lot like Diablo II.   It looks like Blizzard sucks making games, so they need A DECADE in order to fix what is wrong.

Add a zoom-out feature in the game and it is done.

Yeah, game of the year... simply no contender.

Not even any of 3DS behemoths can touch this game in quality.

MASS EFFECT 3 says hype

Fixed

lol... Has to be a joke.

I heard they don't even have PVP for launch. That is why it is being released sooner than never.  Still iffy on this one.  I want to stick the middle finger to Blizzard and be done with them (but I have too much past history).  I might give this game a try but I will probably wait till Starcraft 3 is almost out before I play the "final" version of SC2.

BTW They stated they will patch PVP into the game later...  That must be one hell of a patch.

The only problem is that some classes are going to be inherently more pvp than others and it's going to be hard to figure out which to build without knowing the balances. I mean, you can't balance both pve and pvp for every character. There will always be some better at killing one thing at a time, and others better at killing monsters.

The witcher 2 could have used a few months more in the oven, even though it was a great game. Blizzard makes games that sell for years and even decades because they focus so much on quality and balance.

So they are like Nintendo but slower.

You know that both Diablo 2 and starcraft :BW still sell new copies to this day, right?

Really the only comparison nintendo has is ocarina, and that's gone through three releases, and two developments, and one complete refresh, and half the sales.

You're kidding right, just add this version with snes and GBA versions and you get what Diablo 1, 2, 3 and 4 (maybe 5) will sell lifetime. Not counting the original releases, obviously, because I don't think there'll be a diablo 17 to match thoses sales.

Sorry, I didn't realize we were comparing games that are bundled with a system to a game that has to be bought and often pirated.

Old Nintendo games still sell well on the Virtual Console so I'd say they offer a similar kind of long lasting quality.
