seriously vita will be a huge success in japan. below 10k? wasnt the ps3 selling like only 5k in japan at one point? things will change for the vita

But the PS3 isn't a huge success in Japan....it is successful but the Wii sold better.

I think Sony really needs to do something to get people buying a Vita instead of a 3DS. But maybe Sony isn't aiming to be the market leader...who knows what their plans are.

denial is really a sad, curious thing.

denial or having a brain? its ridiculous that people decided the fate of the vita BEFORE it even released! have you not learned ANYTHING this generation? if nothing else atleast give the damn thing 6 months on the market. were the nintendo fans in denial when they said give the 3ds time after its botched launch?

if after a price cut and some good system selling games release for the vita and it still struggles then you can say it is failing.

isn't it out selling the DS is the same time frame, wonder why no one is commenting on that right? I just recently got a Vita and it's awesome!

Considering the DS lite is $119 USD and the next gen backwards compatible 3DS is $149 I would hope to god that everything outsells the DS. Who pays 30 less for a console that is basically last gen- nobody. That's a strange uninformed comparison.

If 3DS didn't play DS games you would have a good point though.

was referring to aligned launches comparisons

people here have been using those to spell "doom" to the system but no one has ever compared it to the DS....could it be that because it's outselling the DS meaning it's in no way dead at all, just off to a slow start

and I have a theory as to why Sony isn't losing any sleep on Vita sales. People seem to be treating Vita as if it is the only entry for Sony in the gaming market, as if the launch of the vita mean sales and profits of everything else PlayStation no longer counts, but ummmm it does, and that's where Sony is in a different position than Nintendo.

Here try this out look at the weekly sales today and put your finger over the 3ds, now ask yourself, considering if that was the picture how well is Nintendo doing?? not well at all, Now do the same thing but cover up the vita and ask yourself how well Sony is doing....doing just fine, in fact better than everyone else actually, and that's were they differ, 3ds needed to do amazing last year because everything else Nintendo wasn't hence the near generation ending price cut only a few months after launch, however Sony is doing just fine without the Vita, and with it it's barely a challenge, Sony knows this which is why they aren't worried, now I'm not saying the Vita sales are great but in  the grand scheme of things aren't bad either, right now it's just, well... selling. with "PlayStation" doing consistently  well Sony can clearly afford to wait until E3, and Gamescom, and TGS to announce the Megatons people are so desperately begging for and that you can bet are on there way. And when that future is panned out in due time vita sales will pick up. But until then I think it's INCREDIBLY short sighted to call it over for Vita now

My mistake I misunderstood you. You are right though that anybody who calls a system dead this early is pretty much out of touch. I can honestly see it go either way at this point.
