Yeah, which is really unfortunate. It could be a great source of really cool art, music, etc made by the fandom, but there's just so much crap to sort through that it's not really worth it.

That's partly why reddit is nice. Important stuff gets to the top pretty quickly so I don't have to search much to find it, and there are plenty of subs that focus on specific things (like music), so I can find most of what EqD posts before they post it, and a ton of other stuff they miss. I still have to sort through a bunch of crap, but it's not quite so bad on the smaller subs.

I think the thing that draws me to the show is the fact that I'm very angry lately.  also living with my parents (had to move back after being on my own for 5 years, stupid economy and lack of a license left me with no open job opportunities), but unlike you my home is in constant unrest.  I Don't feel safe here and my anger issues (issues that I only have with my parents, mind you) make me feel it's not safe for them, either.  

I watch ponies becuase it's one of the only things that calms me down and makes me happy, aside from sitting down and enjoying a good game.  Even when working this job I absolutely loathe, the only thing that can make me smile is the pony music on my iPod.  

I Can't wait to be on my own again, or at least away from my parents.  They are the #1 reason for my unhappiness.  when I'm on my own, away, or in a position where I don't have to interact with them, I'm honestly a content, perpetually happy person, but they douse the flame of happiness, they are my wet blanket on a cold winter's night. 

Ouch, that's too bad. Is the license you lack a driver's license?

Really sorry to hear that Runa :( I know what it's like to live somewhere where it doesn't feel safe, I'd never wish it on anyone.

Well it's not that I don't feel safe, I figure it's a matter of me not wanting to go to jail.  mom's frail and dad's fat, I'm bigger than both of them put together.  if they pulled some shit on me, I'd be fine, but they wouldn't be.  problem is they treat me like shit and its only a matter of time before they flip their shit on me and do something they'll regret. 

But alas, Ponies keeps me happy. smile smile smile!
