I'm surprised and disappointed that there isn't already a thread for lovers of MLP:FiM to discuss the latest episodes, or even to attract new people into the herd :)

Most people clicking here are going to be confused to say the least - I mean, isn't MLP a show for little girls? Grown manly men like us have no reason or motication to watch what amounts to a kids show; not just a kids show, but one aimed at little girls. I don't mind though. Why? Because this is the reaction that I, and most male viewers of the series had when we were introduced as well. Some might argue that the main demographic that watches MLP are males ages 15-35. That's right - this show, targeted at little girls has what amounts to a cult following. Many websites have popped up dedicated to MLP, including Ponychan (one of the few "chans" where people are actually friendly) and Equestria Daily. These sites produce huge amounts of fan made material, from remixes of songs to fanfiction.

Why give this show a try? Well, the characters are surprisingly complex and well developed for a kids show, and the art has a charm that recall to mind older catroon series - the music is great too! It's almost impossible to describe with words, so you'll have to watch my recommended episodes to get the idea :)

Please no trolling/hating in this topic - it's supposed to be a friendly thread. Everyone feel free to post your opinion of the show though :D (so long as it's not inflammatory)

As for recommended episodes, I think the first two episodes in the series are pretty essential for people who have never watched before since they introduce all the characters.
