"Sorry but no, the devs are not tie to the number of pixels in this way, is cheaper to develop a game for the Wii beacuse they are using the same technology of the GC, the only changes are the control interface, they are not introducing a new arquitecture, thats why is cheaper to develop for the Wii, because they are using a well know API..."
in reply to my statement "In addition the Wii can have games developed for it far more quickly and cheaply because a far smaller number of pixels are being manipulated."
Now this is pretty ignorant stuff so I posted it on a private industry forum so everyone (in the industry) could have a laugh. Here are some of their (the devs) responses:
"It's because the Wii is the smallest console hence the cheapest to develop for. You can fit less data in it, due to its size, so you don't need as many people. Fucking obvious really."
"It's just frightening to me the little bits of knowledge that people think they have and then go spouting. These little bits of misinformation just permeate their brains and they think it to be true. They do nothing to find out if their bizzarro-world thoughts are facts, they just run with them...

Obviously I have not approved such an ignorant fanboy posting to go on my blog and so have sent it to spam. You guys just don't realise how stupid a lot of what you post here is.
