Chrono Bind Domain Registered By Square Enix, Will This Be A Chrono Trigger Sequel?

By Spencer . February 27, 2012 . 3:32am

The long awaited next entry in the Chrono series may not be Chrono Break, but instead Chrono Bind. Square Enix registered chronobind.com and chronobind.net, which sound related to the Chrono series.

Reviving the Chrono games doesn’t sound too far fetched either. Square Enix released a bunch of Chrono Trigger ports to spark interest in the franchise again and the Nintendo DS version sold at least 790,000 units. Android and iPhone releases may have introduced Chrono Trigger to new players too.

I wonder what kind of game Chrono Bind will be. A time-traveling adventure? A dimensional shifting story with a new cast of characters? Or will players bind time and mend the fragmented timeline from defeating Lavos back together?

*gasp* ... could it be the unthinkable? or Iphone game?

It's for Final Fantasy XIII-2s new DLC card game. Don't get excited over nothing.

Why should anyone give a damn about an iOS game?

You know I care... meanie!

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

After the overly overly convoluted Chrono Cross and the worst design choice of all time for JRPGs (581 playable characters) , let the series die in peace!

Chrono Trigger 2 would only work with the "dream team" again... and that's simply impossible now.

You didn't get the memo? iOS and smartphone gaming are taking over and all other devices are doomed, so get on board or get left behind.

Still enjoy smartphone gaming though, I won't lie.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

thank Buddha it's not another Chrono game; considering that Square's entire talent pool now consists of hacks, morons, and perverts it would only end in disaster. Knowing their track record they would have Toriyama write it and since he's done two godawful FF games, killed the Front Mission franchise, as well as making one of the most disturbingly sexist and nonsensical plots with 3rd Birthday that would be like having Neveldine/Taylor do a sequel to Blade Runner
