This is just some lame blog site claiming they know "a friend". Don't believe any of it.

"I’m hearing that there is over 150-200 Wii U games currently in development. "
This part makes this rumor laughable.

I would argue that the number of Wii U games in development would be on the low side of things if you consider multi-platform games as "Wii U" games ...

No. Not really...

It obviously doesn't mean all those games will be for launch and new systems always get alot of ports.

Although a good bit of the 150 -200 are probably Wii-ware/e-shop type games.

well if you don't like the fact wii u is comparable to ps3 360 then youll hate the fact that ps4 720 isnt going to be that much greater in terms of raw power sure it will have faster clock speeds /processers . but in the end graphics can only go so far , unless we start rolling cameras and games become movies =which have fun with that ill watch a movie if thats the case to much realism will kill gaming

Sounds good so far!
Never played a TS game before and i`m curious about Overstrike. I think Insomniac are a great developer!

Dead Space will probs just be 1 & 2 together or DS3 which will also release for PS3 &360

same with Timesplitters 4, it will probs be multi plat

I´m not surprised if it´s true, I expect the major 360/PS3 games that are releasing late this year and 2013 to be on the Wii U as well, maybe even including RE6 and GTA V.

i like the support i am hearing for the wii-u , i cant wait to play the system and buy it on launch day as well.

I don't like the fact that Wii U comparison point is X360/PS3.

They're 7 year old technology for gamer's sake.

Well then, complain to Nintendo for playing it too safe with the Wii U and basically going for a repeat of the Wii in terms of hardware specs.  We'll have to wait and see at E3 just what exactly the Wii U is capable of compared to the PS360, but all indications point to it being only marginally more powerful.

Still, if every Wii U game looked as good as games like Battlefield 3 or Uncharted 3, would you people really complain about that?

I'm waiting until E3 (when we see games running on final hardware) before I make any claims on what the capabilities of the Wii U are, but my expectations are that it is a modification of the Wii strategy; and that isn't a bad thing.

While I know there will be many people who disagree with me, I think it is entirely reasonable for companies to focus on producing games at a full 720p and to produce moderate improvements in graphics in order to keep console costs reasonable; so that consumers don't have to spend insane amounts of money to buy these systems, and the console manufacturers don't have to lose insane amounts of money to sell these systems.  On top of that, developers and publishers should focus more on producing the games they can afford to develop rather than producing games that the vocal minority of "core" gamers want.

I actually agree with the 2nd part of your post.  I think some gamers are setting their expectations way too high for the next gen in terms of graphical power and what the consoles will actually be capable of.  Developers can only do so much with only a certain amount of time and money to work with, and jamming a system full of the latest cutting edge tech doesn't automatically make the games mind-blowing in any way.  It's like with all the people complaining that they want the next-gen to get here already... what, games like BF3, Uncharted 3, the Witcher 2, etc and upcoming games like Bioshock 3, Metro Last Light and GTAV aren't good-enough looking for you?

The only thing I'm worried about is if Nintendo gets a little too cheap with the hardware again, and the Wii U ends up with a software library that is 95% indistinguishable from previous-gen games like the original Wii was.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
