1. You said my opinion was dumb. That hurts. You gotta remember you're talking to another human with feelings.

2. You changed one word! Need I explain why that's not clever?

1. You should have thought that before you called me lame.

2. yes you do.

to be honest, I'm loving it, especially now that I'm studying in London. If I'm visiting my Grandma, who lives in the opposite side of the city, nothing is better for the 45min London Underground journey than some 3DS. I've also streetpassed with an insane number of people, if I go into Central London I will get 10 without fail. When I went to the Zelda 25th anniversary concert, I streetpassed about 130 times as well.

I tend to always forget about having my 3DS on "Sleep" when I go out, I always shut it down compeletly , so I never got a street pass except from my cousin who I actually bought a 3DS as a present xD

Just IMHO but in next few gens we will have stationary consoles replaced by handhelds in form factor of something like Wii U tablet pad - you will return home and device will detect your TV and stream picture directly to it or you will take it with you and play on smaller built in screen

Thats Hideo Kojima's view on it as well, and its possible with Vita, i see that as a great feature, I also like the cross play as well, not only to Sony consoles but for PC as well, imagine you are playing for example League Of Legends, and then want to go somewhere else, you can pick a Vita and continue playing LoL, LoL mostly uses mouse controls and a little bit of key mapping so its perfect for touch screen, and its a perfect game for portables.

I also see Nintendo doing that thing with 3DS on Wii-U Imagine Playing animal crossing on Wii-U for example, and then when you take your 3DS out, you get notifications and other stuff , you just pop out your 3DS and play it. or imagine if you have pokemon on 3DS and then you can transfer your pokemons that you caught to the Wii-U so you can battle others online or coop with others in the same room, they did something like that with the gamecube, but it was a bit gimmicky at the time, so this time it will work a lot better.

Yeah, I'm getting to an age where handheld game really has it's appeal now. Can't be at home every night, lots more travelling etc. It's just far more ideal and the Vita seems to fit what I need, provided it keeps getting the software.

Would be a shame for the phone market to swallow it all up and stuff, can't imagine playing games with only a touch screen lol.

i think Phone Market and Handheld market should Co-exist with each other, not one swallowing the other, same with PC, Cloud Gaming,  Browser and Console gaming.

its just a different platform for video games, and each one has a lot of unique possibilities, i don't know why some people have a hard time accepting this?

It's impossible with current technology. Those machines would have to offer full HD processing power in the site of today tablet so we are still years from it.

I'm very happy about it.
Handheld consoles deserve a lot of love!

Its clearly early days as i only got my Vita yesterday, but now i can play the games i want due to dual analogue sticks, i can see myself becoming more of a handheld gamer, not being restricted to playing to 1 room in my house has great appeal,

Played the Fifa Demo, Uncharted and Unit 13 and for the first time ever i dont feel like the games i love have been compromised to bring them to handheld it truly is awesome. So the more good press for handhelds the better, the world would be a sad place with touch screen only devices.

I love handhelds!

Who 'wants' handhelds to die? There are so few apple fans here ...

handhelds are the s**t, I love having console like gaming on the go, thats the whole point of dedicated handhelds to me. Otherwise I would just only play on my smart phone and I dont want to do that
