OMG what a way this is ending O_O

What an end to this race...

Fuck F1's stupid rules, Dan was 3rd not Vettel -_-

Really hope Jules is ok. They're not telling us a whole lot though =/

actually the rule is good, because otherwise it would have been plain luck for ricciardo that a red flag was swinged just right after the safety car.

Yeah it was worth the gamble for predictions; anything could happen. Ofcourse the most concerning thing is Bianchi, BBC says he is "very seriously injured " so doesn't sound good. Nasty crash though, fact we didn't get to see it speaks volumes.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It's actually quite concerning that we have almost seen nothing of the crash but a few pictures, seems he hit the tractor.

I really hope he ends up fine.

Honda (race organisers) twice refused formal requests from Formula 1 yesterday to move the race to an earlier time. To ignore such obvious weather issues is irresponsible, it's a typhoon ffs.

Cant have guests and vip's inconvenienced can we....

To be fair, the conditions really weren't that bad. I've seen much worse rain in an F1 race, and the safety car was out very long at the start to make sure it was absolutely safe to race. In the end it picked up again of course, but it was really just an unfortunate coincidence that Jules went off at the same spot as Sutil right as they were removing the car.

Motorsport is dangerous, and unfortunately these things happen, but I really wouldn't say they were racing in conditions beyond all safety.

Jules Bianchi undergoes surgery in hospital after suffering 'severe' head injuries

So a safety car really should have been out after the first crash then like I thought, was confused it wasnt. Would have prevented this all =(

It's always easy to say that looking back on something like this, but the truth is that Sutil's car was in a spot where it's really quite easy to safely and quickly remove the car (I mean where would Motorsport be if every crash brought out a SC). The fact that the Marussia went off into the same spot just one lap later and exactly into the removal vehicle was just terrible luck
