different source i think but your 2 or 3 months late bud. i've already made this thread and the title should be changed cause the patten is was made in 2010 as the link and my original thread will show. plz have some journalistic integrity before posting a lie and or article.

make your title reflect the content of the article in question.

First off don't call me bud.....bud! Are you not aware that Nintendo was beginning planning stages of Wii U since 2008? These are called FACTS. So you roll it back to 2010, and I roll it back to 2008. Seeing as Nintendo has been planning Wii U for 2 years prior, there is absolutley noting wrong with my claim.

"journalistic integrity"? this isn't Harvard man seriously.

Yeah and the PSP was doing remote play with PS3 before 2008, so yoor point is?

I bet you since PSP already did remote play and Vita was in development with the same feature sets in place one can easily assume Nintendo took a page out of the Sony handbook. Sony just took the concept they originally had (Before Wii U development) and added to it a 5-inch touchscreen and 2 analog sticks instead of 1.

If anyone could make an argument for who got ideas from who I bet it is much easier to argue in Sonys favor, but of course you didn't think of these things I assume?

You know what your argument sounds like? It sounds like back when Sony fans would argue that Sony didn't copy the Wiimote because they had the Move patented since like 2002 or something and even had videos to show the prototypes and Nintendo fans rebutted that with "Well, Nintendo brought it to the masses first."

Sony is bringing Vita to the masses first with remote play, so I guess by Nintendo fan definition it in fact means Nintendo copied.

Oh yeah, you also forgot that tablets and phones have been able to do this for a long time too.

No, Nintendo invented the analog stick too.

Or maybe Reggie is just an undercover spy for Sony and he gives Sony all the information that Nintendo is keeping under wraps.

Sony isn't looking over Nintendo's shoulder on this. PSP was doing remote play before the Wii U was a concept and The PS Vita will be out before the Wii U hits and Sony could apply the Wii U controller idea to the Vita/PS3.

I'm tired of seeing people claim Sony doesn't innovate. Sony is never given the credit for doing something different.

that would be one expeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeensive controller but a real nice one lol.

AT this point in the thread, I can't tell sarcastic comments from real ones.

As for the topic at hand, it seems like copying but its not like Nintendo invented tablets/remote play. Hell, i don't know who did but I assume it has been done before. I say let sony "copy" all other consoles, that way I only need to buy a playstation. It only does everything, you know?

No, Nintendo invented the analog stick too.

No, Nintendo just reduced the size of the analog stick, Nintendo not invented it...

I know they did not invent it. What they did was they took an existing idea and modified it to function on a controller with the use of only your thumb.I always remember it being claimed that Nintendo invented it though, just like rumble, even though SEGA used it in video games first.

Same goes for Sony, they enhanced the analog stick based controller by adding a second one, although Sony did also release a dual analog flight stick no more than a week after the N64 released. Sony is still considered to be copiers of Nintendo though.

What you don't see is the TC making a thread about how Nintendo went and put an analog nub on the 3DS and then after the unveiling of the Vita went and worked to make an add-on for 3DS that adds a second analog to the handheld.

This whole "Sony copys and Nintendo innovates" argument is so bogus because arguments Sony fans use that get rubutted by Nintendo fans seem to later on find their way as Nintendo fan arguments. I don't know, I just guess I figured the "Enlightened Ones" would know better.

oh wait i cant say that cause of the sony bias on this site cause we all know sony doesnt copy and nintendo is always DOOMED

Sony is becoming really lame lately....

- PSmove
- SSB style fighter
- ModNation is a Mario Kart copy
- this

and much more i can't remember....

Playstation Network --> Nintendo Network

Analog stick on PSP --> Analog stick on 3DS

2 analog sticks on Vita --> 3DS add-on with 2nd analog created for 3DS

Sony making their console a multimedia center from the get go --> Microsoft makes 360 into more of a media center and now nintendo following suit

Sony puts 2 analog sticks on controller --> Nintendo's next console (GC) gets 2nd analog stick, although cleverly disguised

Sony created analog based controls before N64 even released and released dual analog based controls a mere week after N64 launch

Sony touts PSVita ability to stream PS3 games to Vita and displays it for all to see --> Nintendo unveils the Wii U

PSP was able to wirelessly stream Lair on PS3 since 2007. Haven't tried many other titles though, but that was 5 years ago.

Sony Smash Bros. isn't even confirmed.

Let us hope 3DS doesn't now get a back touchpad add-on.

Oh yeah, the classic controller pro also looks so much like something I have seen before, just can't remember what it was...
