The Dojo still says the 10th.

FYI, the Dojo still said Dec. 3rd while there were STRONG rumors of a delay.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

But then it said TBD when the announcement was coming up. As long as he doesn't come in with another "I'm hoping to complete it without incident" post, I'm feeling good.

If they push it back one more time I lose my 100% respect for towards Nintendo.

*UPDATE* - Nintendo customer service response, sent in by reader Andy…

I empathize with your frustration at having to wait a little longer to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like you, many of us here were counting down the days until the December release.

Having said that, we know that the development team has been working to make this edition of Super Smash Bros. the best ever, and wouldn’t push back a firm release date unless there was a good reason to do so. It’s worth noting that there are still many things about this game that haven’t yet been revealed. On behalf of Nintendo I ask for your patience as we prepare for the February 10th launch date.

Edit: Crazy me speeding through threads and not reading them thoroughly

That was already posted. And yeah, you guys need to relax...they say they're preparing for the Feb. 10 launch date...not sure how much clearer they need to be.

kinda implies that big things haven't been revealed, and it's possible another delay might occur because of said big things.

Here's hoping said big things don't delay the game.

A lot of the ones on GoNintendo are BS(some are March 31st). The game is 15 days away from the Japanese release, and were a month away. A delay would be no longer then a week.

Well a two month delay didn't make much sense to me either. I suppose they could do a little editing on the game in these few weeks before the release (still not buying that argument though).

You make me feel better. :)

March 31 sounds like a placeholder date. Usually placeholder dates are the first or last days of a quarter. March 10 and March 31 are both Mondays, however, which could be potential shipping dates to have the game in-store on the usual Tuesday.

But given the rumors that the game went gold, and how close the Japanese release date is, I doubt another delay is coming.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

Honestly I hope the title isn't delayed. I wouldn't be shocked if it were however. I really never believed Nintendo delayed it due to tweaking. I believe they delayed it to be a competitive launch to another title, or another library. Nintendo is usually more competent with delays, and they are no spring chickens when it comes to the problem. To announce a two month delay so close to the games launch never really made much sense.

Anyway I wouldn't be all that shocked. That said I do really hope that they get this game out the door as soon as possible. So we can get through the first week of mania as soon as possible. Then get through the post binge depression as soon as possible. I basically want to get the unpleasantness done before we get into the spring season proper.

I think the depression this time will be pretty heinous. With no step down games, or alternatives to take the edge off. Even worse this is the horizon for so many posters for so many this year ends on February 10th quite literally for some there seems to be no year after that date, and after two weeks of burning themselves out they are going to suddenly realize there are another ten months to go, and they are going to be very cranky with their desperation for a fix.

I know so many of them think this isn't going to happen, but yeah it is for every smash fan that can be satisfied for months on end there are half a dozen that will be bored with the game in a couple weeks. Leaving them wanting, and while it can be amusing to watch. I really would rather it not trip over the other launches come March I want to be thinking about releases that should be near at hand.
