About 10 Months ago Vgchartz and the interwebs were displaying a non stop jab at 3ds for the supposed "sickness" it caused.

3ds players all over the world were losing their lunches trying to play the newest gadget. It got to the point where it almost seemed to be an epidemic.

Back then I called it for what it was....propaganda. It seemed as though the Nintendo haters had to find a way to slow down sales. But as usual their efforts failed in the end.

So here we are 10 months and 15.5 million units later....and all of a sudden the sickness has stopped. No gamers losing their lunch, just playing their 3ds with a great line of games.

So what happened? Does anyone have an answer? Are we going to hear that it was just the first wave of 3ds released that caused stomach-gate? Or perhaps it was some mind control trick Reggie personally put in every early 3ds.

The sad thing is we are going to have to go through this again very soon. As soon as the WiiU is released, people all over the interwebs and vgchartz will be reporting how their tablet controllers are breaking within days of usage...GUARANTEED. Because Nintendo haters gotta hate. 

Go to youtube. Look in the comments of any video that speaks well of the 3DS. There will be 1,000 posts of people that say the 3DS made them sick or caused them headaches and that they're buying the PSV on day one.

sony fans are just mad because no one can beat ninteno in the handheld market

I am almost certain that nobody is going to buy a 3ds......just to go ahead and turn off the 3d. I mean you might as well just stick to the Ds.

Well at first I did have some miner headaches but those disappeared as I get used to it.

As for Nintendo systems breaking? lol yeah right that does not happen often. I still have my NES working until today! and so do all other Nintendo systems i have!

They are trying truth by repetition. But the comeback was too great and it failed to stick.
Nintendo is kiddy will stick forever, though.

.. dont forget the battery is all of a sudden at acceptable levels!.. I hear little to no complaints... hallelujah!

Some of it was hype, some of it was genuine but people just don't complain anymore or simply turn the 3d off. Then you get odd cases like me. I cannot use a 3ds with 3d on without wanting to hurl. I also however cannot play most fps or watch others play them though I can handle the first person view in skyrim and minecraft (but not in portal) without getting ill. I'm legally blind in my left eye ( I can sorta see with it but it's like through really foggy glass and I can't use it by itself) and that has fucked up my natural depth perception to begin with. Like certain first person camera angle styles ( seriously hit or miss here) 3d does not agree with me, trying to see the effect rarely works and it tends to throw me out of sorts and made me sick. It's not the handheld's fault my eyes are garbage but it still means the experience is ruined for me.

Edit:  I'm aware you can play all the games without having the 3d on but the system was partially hyped on this feature and not being able to use it makes it less appealing to me.  It doesn't make the 3ds a bad system though, just not one I feel like investing in right now which is fine with plenty of other people have.

Again I think there are probably 3 categories of people at work here.
1. Rabble-rousers who never had a problem or only thought they did and commented on everything to spew hate and hype up negative things about the system.
2. People who genuinely have had some small discomfort and complained then either turned the 3d off or learned to live with it.
3. People like myself who have serious issues with 3d for any number of reasons, they probably complained the second loudest after those stirring up trouble but also shut up about it fairly quickly then just didn't buy a 3ds.

I do hate how the whiners have ruined the legitimate explanation of " it makes me sick" for the people it effects.
