As one of the biggest Nintendo fans on this site (although I am far from number 1) I'd have to say I was a little worried in the beginning of the year. After the 3DS price drop and knowledge of their upcoming 3DS library, I see no need to worry about the 3DS. I also see little reason why the Wii U won't sell at least 70 million. I believe I am more interested in the possibilities of the Wii U now then when it was first announced. They came down with the case of the hiccups but at least it wasn't full blown syphilis like Sony had this generation.

Apparently I am not a real gamer according to Mr. Grass because I tried out the Gamecube and felt that it was Nintendo's worst system. I never called it kiddy, BTW.

Now I shall log out and cry.

It had some great experiences but I agree, it also had the worst iterations of the Nintendo franchises you mentioned

That's why I love Wii so much, even though it was disappointing in some aspects, it definitely houses my favorite iterations of Nintendo's best game series; SMG, MKWii, Brawl, Zelda:TP...etc are all my favourite from each series

Did you buy the GC at launch?  It did have Super Smash Bros Melee and Luigi's Mansion at launch.  Melee was perhaps one of the best launch games since Super Mario Bros.  Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2  and Super Monkey Ball were also launch games.   Anyways, the Virtual Boy easily tops the list for worst Nintendo system unless you don't even want to mention the name.

Alright guys.  If the Gamecube is so great, then would you explain how the worst Mario, Mario Kart, and Zelda were released on it?  Also,  I like Luigi's Mansion, but that mansion should have been much, much bigger.

I guess that I'm not a gamer.

It's good to see someone else I agree with when It comes to the Gamecube.

My first order as the founder of the club: Think of a cool name for us

That's the first time I heard there was a PS2 version.

HotC. Haters of the Cube. I don't know if that's good enough though.

Real gamers, shmeal gamers.

All I'm saying is that many people who took gaming seriously (you know, following release dates, reading magazines/websites, spending serious amounts of time and money gaming) were completely in the dark about the purple box. There will be some who didn't like it even though they tried - as with all things.

I still think the library speaks for itself, and it deserved better than being beaten so badly by the other consoles. The sad result was most definitely influenced by gamers' misgivings.
