I finished my IGCSEs. Got A*s in all of the subjects xD Which GCSE subjects are you doing?

Lucky you! What year do you do them in sweden? We're the same age but I've still got a year to go :(
Geography, Sociology and Product design.
+ english, maths, double science, humanities and ICT ofcourse :p

Lol xD I'm not swedish! My friend and I changed our country to sweden because we liked some character from a show who was swedish. I'm actually asian (not saying more that that. sorry xD). I astually skipped year 9 and started with IGCSE immediately! So I'm a year ahead. I did English, Maths, Physics, Bio,chem, ICT, and Geography. Not many xD

So what do you want to do in university? I'm not sure...Maybe Computer Science xP

Cool! I'm studying Maths, Physics, Bio and Chem.

Ah I thought you were refering to a subject or something. I just looked T.T up = an Asian person crying , wtf ? That means you cry like an Asian because of A levels ?

I did my A levels a couple of years ago. Think it was Chemistry, Biology and English/Computer Science.

What are A-Levels? Like college prep level classes in high school?

In the U.K, they are part of education for academic minded 16-18 year olds.  Here, compulsory education stops at 16 (I think it's going up soon though), so I wouldn't refer to it as the U.K eqivilent of high school, but it is similar.  Most people do 4 subjects for their first year and drop one before moving to the second, the dropped subject is considered a seperate qualification known as an AS level.  Depending on the part of the U.K, they are either taught in school or at a seperagte 6th form college (which is usually a inbetween step for school and uni, for example mine didn't have any uniform).  They are the main educational achievement used towards university applications.

I've got to do General Studies too- what does it involve? I heard that it had French in it, so I'm hoping that I'm not going to completely fail it :(

Well, definetely asian. Why aren't you saying more than that!? Sure, I love japanese girls (I am a gamer after all) but I'm not creepy about it! xD

I have no idea, I don't even know what A-levels I wanna take, I really don't know what I want to do in the future, I don't want to grow up lol. What do you wanna do?

I'm sure it depends a little on the exam board, mine was OCR btw.  It's a weird subject that can potentially involve pretty much anything.  On OCR, we 4 papers (two taken at the end of each year), each consisting of a few 4 or 5 mark questions and then 1 or 2 essay questions (some where one had a choice, but on others not).  I was lucky and had a disproportionality high amount of political, economic and social based questions, which I consider my strongpoint, so I found it a walk in the park (one on fascism, one on the growth of individualism, one on the effects of greater Government spending on infrastructure amongst others).  But others years, I'm sure there were lots of natural science based questions, for example.

One key point to remember is that you need a broad general knowledge to do well, not at all a deep knowledge of the question asked.  If you have a deep knowledge of what the question is about, you're laughing.  Another point is that most universities don't count it in your offer (as most don't take it seriously as a subject, which is the same as most students in fact).  That said, it wouldn't harm your application.  The reason my 6th form college made in compulsory was that Hampshire County Council treated it like any other A-level and therefore gave a shit load more funding to my 6th form as in their eyes students there were doing 4 full A-levels.

A-level? is it London A-Level or something else? I did my A-Levels few years back, and did it in the Physical Science stream. which included Combined mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. London AL exams were available for us too for practice but they were MUCH MUCH easier.

If I'm understanding correct, it is more or less taking advanced classes because you excel academically, correct?

If so, I suppose you could say I sort of did that. During my senior year of high school, I actually took a full time college schedule at a nearby university to replace my normal high school schedule. Due to this, as well as some other post secondary classes I took in high school, I will be graduating from college when I'm only 20 years old
