Forums - PC Discussion - My crappy new spare computer

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.6GHz

RAM: 2GB DDR2 667MHz

HDD: 40GB IDE

GPU: ATi Radeon HD 5450 512MB DDR3

OS: WinXP Pro

Something to play StarCraft 2 when a friend comes over. It's gonna be hooked up to a CRT. What do you think?

Btw, motherboard, CPU and GPU cost me 120 USD total. Those are the only things that are new. Everything else is spare parts. I mean, who would pay money for a 40GB IDE HDD nowadays?

Here is the motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157204R

And the question is ? If it works ?

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

It could be worse. I mean, it isn't Vista for one thing.

You really couldn't spend $10 more each on the CPU and GPU?

Doubles the GPU shader count and CPU up 400MHz and Phenom.

Nah. Didn't feel like it. And I'm pretty poor as it is. I'm already not eating for the next week and a half. D:
