Forums - Nintendo Discussion - MEGATON! Monster Hunter 4 for 3DS!

Wait, so has anything been announced at TGS so far today?

Doesn't Sony have a conference at some point?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

That doesn't make sense. Since Vita games will feature more detailed graphics than 3DS games, it's unlikely that Sony would launch with smaller capacity cartridges. Therefore I have to assume that 3DS games are limited to 8 GBit while Vita games will be 4GB, so four times as much.

I am honestly offended Rol.. You used to put actual thought into your responses... I guess you don't like me any more

Even as a joke, that's pretty lame.

It went completely over my head and I still don't get it.

All my thoughts were put in my reply to theprof00 in another thread, because he was so unbelievably hateful.

well, my response to your suggestion about the storage sizes would be, in a word, No.

Look it up if you don't believe me.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

So between Tri G and 4, that'll be at least 400 hours of my life down the tubes...

Damn you Capcom

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The whole aspect of dynamic environments and changes mid-battle seems like a good direction to take the series after Tri. I hope it won't make the games too hard... maybe that's why they are introducing some automation to the camera in 3G for 3DS.

If I had to manage my ammo, health and stamina in addition to manually looking out for and avoiding environmental hazards, jumping between ledges and talking to my party-members all while fighting a blood thirsty dragon, I'd die in no time..

That how it would have been if it was real! Mwahahahaha

This will keep me on the edge of my chare edge and toes at the same time plus screaming like a girl :D

:P

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

jesus folks, it's only one game. Yes it's Monster Hunter but calling "doom" on Vita is oh so stupid, chill the heck out folks!!

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

He's right you know. There is only one person who can bring doom to vita and that person is John Carmack

Nintendo fans must be happy but im a little disappointed. I thought Monster may be able to move forward with the Vita. With better graphics and everything along with a well integrated online system. And here we are getting a monster Hunter that still looks like the the last one released for the PSP.

Really I thought the 3ds versions looked much better than the psp versions.

even so its still not a big jump. If it was on Vita the franchise would get a massive jump in graphics as well as online. Oh well im guessing at the sony conference either Monster Hunter 4 HD will be announced for VITA or Mnster Hunter Portable 4.

I'm confused by your naming. Surely the MH4 for 3DS is already portable, and Vita can't output in high definition.

Regardless, I suspect you are right that the game will eventually see a PSV port - they could make a hell of a lot of money even with a quick port with some minor touch ups.

The platforming , wall scaling, and monster climbing looked really cool.

Isn't Megaton a bit dramatic? Possibly for Japan but the rest of the world? I don't think soooo

MHFU on the PSP sold over 5 million - more than the PS3 version of FFXIII (slightly less than multiplat FFXIII), and the Wii game sold incredibly for a ay to play game.

MHFU also has sold almost as much as the original Kingdom Hearts (moer than KH2), has outsold all but 1 Resident Evil game (again, counting multiplats as seperate games).

Monster Hunter is Capcom's biggest and 2nd biggest game this gen.

Pretty good game annouced, but i bet this is an early announcement. This will got to show at E3, i'm sure.
