I can understand "exclusives" , heck I could even understand someone claiming the Wii couldnt do it, but CoD: 4 is on EVERYTHING , PC, 360, PS3, the DS and who knows what else? mobile phones? but not the Wii?

The discrepency is so glaring infact that I almost think Sony or MS paid to keep it off the Wii.

CoD: 4 is like a prostitute that the Wii is too good for, bleh.

So here's a quick question, is it comming to the Wii, and if not , why?

It's not coming. I guess it's because they don't have a good Wii engine ready and didn't want to release a half assed port like they did with COD 3.

It won't be on the Wii because it simply can't handle it. Of course it will be on the DS.. It is only on the DS because of the large userbase... The game would have to be extremely dumbed down.

Your in the wrong place to be claiming lesser graphics = dumbing down. Graphics dont dumb down a game, developers dumb down a game, the Wii has the largest next-gen home userbase, period. so the argument doesnt hold.

Quality over Quantity. Does the Wii need any more cheap stripped down ports?

if you want games like COD4 then you've purchased the wrong console.

See, ive got a 360 also, for free mind you (easyfreexbox.com) , and I dont honestly care about this game so much, ive a monster PC (Quad-Core, 4GB ram, 8800 gtx, etc) Im simply asking the question is all, promoting discussion, and frankly im curious about what others think.

As I said, it almost seems someone paid activision to keep it off the Wii.

Someone swore to me they had it on their Wii, but I was doubtful from the beginning, so looking it up I find it available on everything but the Wii.

It's even available on the DS -

With that being said, if it can be on the DS, why not the Wii? I know they screwed up CoD:3 on the Wii, atleast thats what ive heard/read.

So whats going on with it?

Frankly I do not think that the Wii can output CoD 4 level graphics. The Wii is capable of running a lot of games better looking than people will admit, but I honestly think that CoD 4 would be chugging on the system. As a result, we would get a gimped, stupid version like the DS did instead of getting the quality product held in high regard by the critics. I am by no means a anti-wii person around these parts, but I've played the game on PS3 and I honestly think it's a couple of steps beyond Wii's capacity.

The "ITS ON THE DS!!!" argument is pretty silly also, seeing as how it's obviously not the same game, guys.

I think we may see such a gimped version of CoD 5, but CoD 4 isn't gonna happen sorry.

Also their online system is not a problem at all; it would be just like PS3's without any trouble.  The problem is rendering the environments, lighting, etc.  to a much greater extent.

They made the game way to fast. They had really bed controls that made you easily able to be shot. They just did a bad job with the game and they expected people to buy that crap. People told me at gamestop that it is a peace of crap. So I did not buy it at all. If you make crap, then Nintendo fansboys will not buy it

WoW.. Umm WTF did you just say?

Anyway, CoD5 might be on the Wii.. Treyarch makes that version so you should skip it anyway....

Anyway I have CoD4, and I've seen SMG.. It's not just a few steps above it.. its leaps and bounds ahead of it graphically... Something I believe the Wii "Might" be able to handle at the end of its life cycle..

So in the end, no point.. Wii consumers wouldn't be getting the full experience..

its because they didnt want to work to downgrade the wii version, for COD3 they just ported it from ps2
