If you were a realist youd realize that after 5 years the core gamers allready made their console choices.

Agent is a new IP and in the late game of the gen new IPs dont make a big splash compared to when the gen is fresh

All final fantasy fans allready bought a console to play FF13.......

$199 is speculative but possible. Yet your counting out a Wii price drop, 360 price drops (the 199 360 can very well go lower), not to mention the buzz around the Wii U and the unveiling of the next Xbox to steal the thunder of PS3.....making it look outdated by comparison. 

As a realist, only the lower price would stir sales but like I said, there are other factors to consider. 

Well just look at how MS does busines this gen.

They save all their marketing $$$$$ for the holidays.

Gears of War 3 is going to be massive......way bigger then Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, or any PS3 exclusive this fall. Offcourse I mean sales wise.

Look at the preorders for multiplats like COD (biggest game of the year sales wise) and Battlefield 3.......all massively favouring the 360.

Its been 3.......3 years since an official price drop. One must happen this year if they wanna offset Japan with superior sales in NA and about even sales in Europe. Drop Kinect by $50, include their 2 game bundle liek they do every year.

Were in the eye of the storm people......and MS is very good this year at concealing their plans for the fall.

Doesn't change the facts that there where flaws in his statement, which I was addressing.

Major is something like Uncharted, God of War, Gran Turismo, etc. Games that can cross 4 - 5million and more

Not games that barely cross 500k FW with legs too low to make up for it.

I'm not trying to take a stand on any war. I personally don't think it's possible to predict anyway, but when I see flaws in someone's post, then I will point them out. I was just pointing out the flaws in the first sentence of his post.

lol MS had a lot of games last year (for MS) as well as a massive boost from the intial "wow" of kinect, which has almost completely faded and ps3 had a bad year as far as games, people forget that even games released earlier in the year sell consoles during the holidays, last year Sony was about on par with MS for games (which is bad for Sony) and this year they have tons of games, and last year holidays despite MS being in the clearly better position Sony still managed to ship just as much (only because 360 had shortages and ps3 was a little overstocked) this year MS has less games, less of a kinect factor, and I'm pretty sure Sony will benefit more from a price drop, I just don't see how 360 can outsell ps3 this year even with MS advertising tons on big name games (which they did last year)
