Also, the whole "Satan controls the record industry with a Satanic Illuminati" was basically created by the liar and con-man John Todd, that I see you referenced up there. His friendship with Jack Chick was the only thing that kept him going, as he was outed as a total fraud (and child molester) by a ton of his fellow Christian parishioners.

This blog has a lot of good info on why this guy is not trustworthy

Ah yes, the infamous occultist that created an elaborate hoax with the Wiccan community, by creating a fake Wiccan coven for his own perverted deeds. He was more of a scamist than an occultist to be true, the worst kind of them all.

The Lady that does that blog has been doing a series on people that caimed to be "high ranking warlocks/witches/satanists" then went over to Christianity to sell their stories to book publishers, movie directors, and such, pretty interesting reads.

Yeah they are. Some of them I already knew, such as Doreen Irvine and Bill Schnoebelen, but there were much more that I didn't knew about. When you think about it, it's kinda sad that they all use the cover of a new, mostly incomprehended religion to hide their true motives.

Plus, during all their years of supposedly being Wiccan or associated with any kind of witchcraft, they never actually gave an account of any kind of proper ritual that we perform nor the interactions that we have inside covens and so on. Mainly they focus on known cliches associated with pseudo-satanism and literature/fictional witchcraft, which any kind of teenager could write about.

How so many people believe in that is completely over me, that's like asking someone that knows nothing about christianity to write anything about them based only on common cliches or a quick read through their bible and then starting to accept that as it being the factual truth. It's pathetic really.

I just hate how a lot of misinformation from these guys and others that claim to be victims from the "Satanic Ritual Abuse" hysteria of the 70's and 80's are doing it because they have basically "sold their souls" figuratively in order to have some sort of calling in life, to be a leader for masses of people that believe that this person is undying proof that their faith is correct and they are doing right. It's like a Modern day "Witches Hammer" because any group has militant "crusdaer" types that will read some B.S. from a guy like Mike Werneke or John Todd and decide to go "witch hunting". These guys lump all "new age" religions like Neo-Paganism, Wicca, actual Satanism, and a host of others into the "Satanism" of Hollywood horror films. this kind of crap is one reason I left Catholicism, settling on Gnostic Christianity,as I couldn't bear it when people were hateful to others in the name of God.

This is why the music Blessed Be by Velvet Hammer means so much to me. I also was born into a catholic family and had a very strong catholic upbringing, but I just couldn't bear these kind of persecutions and scams all in the name of creating a sense of fear about anyone who dares to believe something different than them.

For those who do not know the music, i'll leave the lyrics here, but I've got to warn you, those who support this thread are not going to like them.

Your interpretations seem so cold....
Fear a loving God,
I have been told so many times....
Thank God I can read between the lines. In your hallowed halls I learned your word.
"It's the only way...."
My spirit heard this different song:
"It's all right, no one is wrong." (Chorus)
But you're telling me I cannot learn,
and don't ask why the witches burned.
Somewhere down the line
The role of Mother became odd. Some of what you have been taught....
You wouldn't believe how much I believe in. Blessed Be.
Blessed....
Blessed Be. You prefer to keep me in a box
With someone you call Satan.
Well, I don't have his mark.
If you don't believe I'm of the light, friend,
You're in the dark. I will pray my prayers the way I please.
Don't try so hard to save me.
Just keep your beliefs,
And I'll keep mine
That is my religious right
Out there.... (Chorus) Telling me I cannot learn,
And don't ask why the witches burned.
And surely, Pan's the devil.
Those with horns are not of God.
My God. You're telling me that Goddess tales
Must all be lies, for God is male.
Somewhere down the line
The role of Mother became odd.
And you judge me just as hard
When I love and you don't love me.... But Blessed Be...
Anyway. You're telling me I cannot learn,
And don't ask why the witches burned.
And surely, Pan's the devil.
Those with horns are not of God.
The role of Mother became odd.
Why do you judge me?
You judge me just as hard!
While some of what you've been taught....
Oh, you wouldn't believe how much I believe in.
Blessed Be.
Blessed....
Blessed Be.
Blessed....
Blessed Be.

@ Bolded part:

To be fair, according to the Bible everything not from God (the judeo-christian biblical God)  is therefore "from the Devil".

While not everything is occult, worshipping the Devil or using magic is, btw the belief-system of the Illuminati is a mix of neo-paganism (while worshipping  the nature more than the gods - see the georgia guidestones who are strongly linked to the new world order) and satanism (while worshipping the devil and seeing him as the most superior god and the ruler of THIS world).

And your last sentence: "Blame the faithful not the faith" is all that I can tell you, the christian religion is about peace and love, even for your enemies, every real christian who knows the word of God knows that and everyone who doesnt feel like that (to love and not to hate) is IMO not a christian.

This makes a lot of sense, the world is rather messed up really.

Scary.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I don't actually believe in Exclusivism, I buy into Pluralism. Why else would Jesus travel to the east and talk with people that very well could have been Buddhists and learned thier ways. By all accounts he didn't roll in trying to convert them to Judaism, he took a lot of their views into account and came out with a slightly Buddhist slant to his teachings. One thing that I need to make clear is that as a Gnostic Christian I do not believe the acts of religious intolerence in the bible such as 1 Samuel and Joshua were directed by God. First century Christians did not think this way either, it was only after the Orthodox branch took over that anti-semitism and huge waves of persecutions ruled the day. I believe that these people that run the church are true heretics and have misguided the true teachings of Jesus.

Problems with your argument:

- Satan isn't real

- Even if he was, it's pretty presumtuous to assume just because the music "came to" certain musicians that turned out to be really good, that it somehow came from the devil. Did you ever consider that maybe they're just really talented and that's why they can come up with great music?

- You seem to imply that these musicans are influenced by and thus embrace these demonic presences, but most of the accounts of these supposed "spirits" are FEARED by the artists.

- As I expected, there are no solid pieces of evidence here, as is true with anything with religious implications. There are just rumors, paranoia, and quotes taken out of context.

- Who says these spirits are evil? Maybe they're angels.. after all they are responsible for great music. You're essentially claiming here that Satan is responsible for great music. Blasphomer! :P

I don't get why anyone would buy Lady Gaga's album (with such a cover and awful music, especially compared to her first album). I honestly believe that she can easily control people. She's built a fanbase who would honestly die for her. The things I read on forums and on Twitter by her fans are pretty scary. It wouldn't surprise me if it was true.

What cracks me up is when you see ANY artist that has a similiar style, but pre-dates her people are always on there yelling that they ripped off Lady Gaga. I saw this recently with a Goldfrapp video from 2001, "wow way to ripoff gaga!" seriously guys? I'd respect her more if she wasn't a copy of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust stage persona and Madonna's music.
