Forums - Gaming Discussion - What was the first video game you ever played. :)

Wow, let me see...

I remember my Dad buying a Pong only console, it was orange with a couple of knobs. But I was like 4 years old. The game I actually remember playing first was a tank game that came with the Atari 2600 when I was seven but that was my uncle's Atari. My Dad got an Intellivision later with a bunch of games but I can't remember which one I played first, although it was probably the Ski or the Tennis.

2 player Wizard of wor on the atari 2600 and 2 player golden axe (original) on the amiga 500 (I can't recall which came first)

Playing 2 player games was the only time my dad would ever spend with me as a kid (which probably explains why I eventaully got into the hobby)

Both awesome games, though going back, I still struggle to beat 'axe single player these days and wizard if wor even 2 player the best I have (ever) done is 11 levels.

@ venepe, that tank game was probably battlezone, I think that was the tank game of choice for the 2600, it was the only one we had at least and I can't imagine the selection was that large back then

Like Machina, I can't remember the first that I'd played (probably Super Mario Bros. or Duck Hunt) but the first game I owned was Delta for the Commodore 64.

First actual game, dunno.
First game I had, Mario Kart: Double Dash for Gamecube.

The game I remember playing earliest was R-Type on the Sega Master System over a friends house. But my first one that I myself owned was Worms Armageddon... atleast as far as I remember.

Mario Kart 64....it was awesome.

Oh jeez, it would have to be something on the NES. It almost has to be a mario game, or duck hunt.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

something on the Atari before my family got an NES, so maybe packman or seahorses I don't think it was ET although that was still very early in my gaming days.

That would be Super Mario/Duck Hunt. It was love at first sight.
