It's probably the best small scale class bassed FPS where each class plays totaly differently 

Oh god, Meet the Medic was amazing, watched it three times already (my girlfriend who doesn't play TF2 watched it twice).

Free To Play? Might create some problems, but finally my brother has no excuse not to play!

FPS isn't a broad enough description for TF2. It's a shooter that doesn't heavily rely on twitch/aim skills to be good at. You could play as the Medic, Engineer or Spy and never fire a gun once. Most of my enjoyment in TF2 comes from non-shooty things. The ubercharges, rocket jumps, cloak, airblasts, teleporters and more.

If Nintendo made an FPS, I imagine it would be very similar to TF2. It has the same comic madness that you would find in Brawl or Mario Kart.

Oh, and Dustbowl is the greatest map(s) since Goldeneye's Facility.
