VGChartz Plays the Zelda Series

Hell yes.

All right you wastes of flesh, you know what year it is? It's a Zelda year, and more than that it's a console Zelda year, one of those magical times that only comes around every once in a great while. It's been five years since the last one, you know. Some of us may not have picked the games back up in a while. Some of us, in spite of that, are fanatics.

So let's all play some Zelda games. Need to work out the rust.

How This Topic Works

1. Post what Zelda games you intend to play before the release of Skyward Sword. Does not have to be in the order you intend to play the games.

Zelda: A link to the Past, probably my favourite Zelda game, haven't played it in ages. Start to finish.
Zelda I - Have been playing it for a while on my phone, am a couple of dungeons in and shall finish it before
Twilight Princess - 100% completition by Skyward Sword release would be nice
Majora's Mask and Spirit Tracks, find/buy copies and play them. Only Zelda games I have never played.

This run isn't really full since I'm not putting Adventures of Link on there but that game, I just can't play it well.

You never played Majora's Mask? You are in for a serious treat if you like 3D Zeldas at all.

Nope, never played Majora's Mask, and I'm a little apprehensive about it. There's a time limit on the game, right?

Time limits on games freak me out. In Pikmin 1, you get 30 days to get off the planet or die. I spent countless hours reading faqs, doing practice runs and the like, and ended up getting full completion in somewhere along the lines of 14 days. It was satisfying, but a little stressful considering I play games to relax.

I've just played the first one a while back and am giving twilight princess another go. But I like the idea. I'll start with Adventures of Link so the poor thing won't feel too left out. Then Majora's Mask, it's been a long time and I'll try to actually complete it this time. Haven't played Links Awekening so I'll give that a go too.

You think a time limit worries the Hero of Time? (trying not to give too much away)

Make your Wind Waker recap very thorough. I want to live vicariously through your experience, as I cannot play myself right now.

So let me begin...
I just beat the first dungeon on link's awakening, and I love the feather. Jumping everywhere, jumping and then attacking, a great item to say the least. I also love Marin's song... Now I am heading to the north to the second dungeon, I'll report later...

I don't count as signed up? What the hell??

And I'm glad we're finally doing this. :P

Anywho, I plan to at least play the following:

Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
