How many vita games do you have in your library?

0-10 184 31.51%

11-20 109 18.66%

21-30 69 11.82%

30+ 215 36.82%

Total:577

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was thinking of buying that portable charging pack Sony released that apparently fills the battery at least twice; was just wondering what the implications would be (if any) from playing it plugged in!

By the way... I'm pretty sure NISA published Persona 4 Golden in Europe, not Atlus. I don't think Atlus have a European publishing arm.

Regardless, JRPG's and niche games in general don't really seem to sell over here. There's a medium-sized market for them in the USA (as evidence with P4G; Ragnarok; Soul Sacrifice) but it's just non-existent here. It's a shame, really. Although as long as my Vita is region-free, it's no problem to me.

Language isn't a barrier for certain games such as hunting games, all you have to know is which option to chose for missions and the little icon pictures will do the rest. Hell I played that Fairy Tail hunting game on the PSP without knowing Japanese. I managed to learn which to chose for battle, items etc. and I didnt have to know about what the frapers was going on. Gameplay is all that maters for such games. Like muso games, hunting games, fighting games and probably racing games.

But when it comes to text heavy or story driven games such as RPGs, then it is better to get those games translated or localized to wherever that game is releasing, ie. if its beeing released in Italy, it should be in Italian and so on and so forth.

I know what you mean. I remember playing Bleach Soul Carnival a few years ago and had little trouble playing the game though I only know a few words in Japanese from watching anime.

At this age, English shouldn't be a problem for any gamer around the world (I know it's not the case, but generally speaking I think most gamers only prefer their mother tongue, but have no problem with English). I wish every game made had English subtitles. Things would be so much easier for ps games since they're not region locked. I mean, I can't imagine why that would cost more than say $1000.

Licensing, regional clarification, marketing as well as maintaning the localization office and putting food on the table.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

I'm looking at grabbing one of those. As far as I know you can keep using the Vita whilst using them and the point of them is to give you a better battery life on the move. Would be perfect as it'd mean my Vita battery will just about last the entire journey on flights to St Louis and my next trip over is the week after KillZone Mercs is released so 3 guesses what I plan doing on that flight :D

I was amazed at how absorbing Vita is on flights with a decent pair of head phones. I was thoroughly engrossed and could just as easily have been sat in my room playing the system.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I meant if they released every Japanese game with optional English subtitles in Japan, everyone would be able to import at the day of release (though I am aware just how expensive that would be). So, I was only talking about English subs, nothing more.

And yeah you're right Kresnik, NIS America did distribute Persona 4 here. Though I don't think they changed the content at all, just handled distribution. A different company has finally released Persona 4: Arena here. I've fallen for Persona 4 so much I've ordered a copy of Arena from GAME for the 12" Vinyl of the soundtrack and the zen store for the proper limited edition set (with jigsaw, keychains, pin badges etc) yet barring the story, have no interest in beat em ups haha.

I guess I'll be able to sell one of them pretty easily on ebay without the extras to recoup some of the money.

I'm still hopeful that we'll eventually see P4 Arena on Vita.

I honestly think around 1/3 of Vita software sales are digital so Vita might even have 3 1mill sellers but I know thats being optimistic...

1/3 is a bit unlikely.

But, for some games, I guess it could be close, sort of 1/5, maybe more.

You may be surprised. The only vita owners I know are digital only or have a great majority of digital titles over physical.

I'd love King of Fighters XIII!  Soul Caliber PSP is currently on PS+ for free.

Was looking up the sales numbers on the PSP GTA games and saw something interesting, When GTA:LCS lauched the PSP had an install base of 5.77mil... thats just 1mill more than the Vita has right now, and after it released the PSP started to sell at a good rate.

Now all things considered the PSP showed a bit more promise than the Vita but it still makes me think a GTA for Vita is a definite possibilty. Hope it does happen since it would make the Vita relavent in the west again.
