Sorry what? I'm still blinded and shocked with this tech demo, it was more than enough to make WiiU look worthy.

You know I linked that first in the e3 nintendo thread! :P

Yeah, but it's soo pretty *_*

We need to spread it!

I do wonder whether this is a screenshot of what Gamasutra called the HD-Experience demo ... because if it is, this is considered an early tech demo and games could potentially look better than this.

Here are two videos on it.  I think the lighting is what I notice the most

the reason i see why this site is more down then up on the Wii U is cause this site has alot more sony and microsoft fanboys on it to hate on nintendo more and report people not liking thier console of choice. ive had that happen to me. if anyone ever notice as soon as the wii started dropping in sales Wii is doomed posts popped up everywhere by anti nintendo guys/gals. Its the same ones that when the Wii was revealed said it was doomed to fail horribly and still stand by it today lol granted wii did sell almost the same amount the 360 and ps3 combined. The potential for the Wii U is much much bigger then it was with the Wii. I have been saying this about the FPS idea since i saw the controller. think about this playing battlefield 3 with that gun holder/controller moving forward with a button or a thumb pad for movement like walking but the turning and aiming is all done by turning and aiming the gun which would be much more accurate then even kinect cause you wouldnt have to turn teh screen by a pad or the whole screen you move your body and in real time it moves with you and you aim like you would a mouse. It would be as good as or better then a mouse and keyboard and get you off your butts even. Oh before i go on what the Wii U does is make the playstation and xbox brand do something different in terms of controls. meaning sony if i see a controller within a year that is just like nintendo's i wanna see all these fanboys admit it. not try and pass it off as something sony thought up all by themselves.

What i dont see is the whole voice recognition (or what i like to call the getting fat system) of yelling out orders to your kinect/xbox to not even use a remote control anymore now that to me is what should be down about E3. or how ps vita is just a HD copy of what nintendo did with the GBA/GCN ten years ago.

I finally realized that...and it's also sad that some of the site's admin especially moderators (who are suppose to be neutral) are/seem to be big Sony fanboys!!! It's quite disgusting actually, but anyways I moved on to other more balance and reputable sites; and just visit for the heck of it!!!

I think the WiiU is a great machine. However, the part that irritates me about it is that that is what the original Wii should have been. If that was the case, then nintendo fans wouldnt have to invest in a new machine next year and would be on par with PS3/360. I feel like they are getting jipped. Watching the conference, the attendees were getting all hyped when seeing the games releasing on the WiiU, but these games will be releasing on the PS3/360 (some of them will be released first on the HD twins).

I am still a little skeptical about the controller. Its concept is cool, but it is just enormous! How much would a stand alone controller cost? It cant just be 50 bucks! Is it comfortable to hold for a lengthy period of time? Lots of other questions come to mind. So although I wont buy it, I would still like to be convinced that it is a worthy purchase.

Also, I don't really consider it next gen. There isnt anything about it that was next gen. The controller is truley its saving grace. Time will tell.

I just find it funny how Sony/360 went after the casual crowd with their move/kinect, and now nintendo is going after the core crowd with WiiU. It is one crazy generation!

I think it is important to try to see things from the mental frame that Nintendo said, "wide AND deep".  The WiiU not only does it end up being cool for core gamers, the new controller, being a touch screen, also is more accessible for casual gamers to.  I can see boardgame stuff EASILY having the WiiU as a system of choice.  You can now do card games on a home console.  Plus lay it down, and do a boardgame on it to.  The touch screen is an easier interface than the current set up.

I agree with you. I just think its a shame that this new console wasn't released in the first place instead of the Wii. Not a shame for Nintendo, because they made big bucks on the Wii and will make big bucks on the WiiU, its a shame for their most ardent fans who have to cough up money for 2 consoles to simply catch up with today's standards.

Hey man, I understand where you are coming from. There are lots of people so passionate about their respective consoles that they diss the other 2 in the market every chance they get. That is the reality of the gaming audience today. I will be honest, I do prefer Sony's products only because that have served me so well for over 10 years and really fit my taste in terms of gaming. When I raise an opinion or concern about nintendo or microsoft, or even sony, i try to make a rational point out of it. so for instance, I think the WiiU is a great system, but i just feel that Nintendo kinda let down its fans by not releasing something of this caliber in the first place (instead of the Wii which was outdated in every way except its innovative controls at the time). Nintendo would not be releasing this system had the Wii not been regarded as old tech, they are releasing this to catch up to the market standard. Yes, they sold the most, absolutely, but you can't deny that their decisions have left them vulnerable in today's market with the lack of 3rd party support. So in that sense, I think the WiiU is great, but should have been released several years back instead of the original Wii.

But you can't go about complaining about other people hating on Nintendo and then go off yourself saying the Vita is a copy of the GBC, and the kinect voice command is for fat people or whatever you said. It just puts you at the same level as the people you are complaining about. the Vita is simply an evolutionary step from the PSP, its the same thing with a lot more gusto and a variety of input controls to allow for a variety of games and subsequently customers. Kinect's voice command (although it does not interest me at all), can have some relevant applications here and there depending on how it is implemented by the developer.

In conclusion, dont hate on haters, you just end up being one yourself. Take the high road man, by the looks of things youre gonna buy a WiiU next year and enjoy its fidelity while those loser haters are trying to undermine your experience with irrational comments.

Pretty apathetic. If history is any indication, Zelda Wii U could well end up nothing like the tech demo. So they really have yet to show anything I could be interested in.

At this point I find it amazing that people can hate it or love it so much....

I have to experience it first before I can hate it or love it;...or like/dislike it..

But yeah the techdemo of Zelda was sweet but for the same thing it will be like when the Wii was introduced...

Remember all the hype for Project H.A.M.M.E.R? One of the first game I saw that would come to the Wii and that quite had some interest on the Nintendo forums...sadly we never saw it ... same can happen with the Zelda Tech demo and we get an Zelda cell shaded game..
