old news, but still awesome.

also Resistance already did dual PSN log in, in 2008. i dont know why Black Ops didnt do it.

any way

do you know what they need to impliment....

full screen splitscreen for both offline and online. YES full screen. Using the 3D technology, Uncharted could give 2 players the effect of having a full screen, by giving the player on the left, the left imagine and the player on the right, the right image. instead of it being in 3D the players just get their own full screen 2D image. How awesome would that be for multiplyaer, or off line splitscreen deathmatches, no more screen peeking. frickin aawesome.

SONY, has already patented this technology, So Naughty Dog, DO IT!!!!

You mean this Texas Instruments technology which Sony was somehow allowed to patent?

it seems somewhat similar, but not the same.

some one on vgchartz posted a thread a few months ago about the Sony patent (i cant find it).

but it doesnt require 2 PS3's or anything, just one.

So im assuming TI has different technology than SOny to accomplish similar results.

Anyway i have a 73'' Mitsubishi DLP (unfortunately not one of the 3D models, i dont even know if their 3D tech is good, cnet doesnt review Mitsubishi for some reason).

but my bro has a 46" Samy that is 3D

Yeah, we will see if Sony decided to implement that split screen method yet. I think Ps4 is where its going to be at... Otherwise I wish texas instruments released this as I'd gladly buy 2 xboxes so I can play full screen Halo Reach with a buddy on the same screen. But they canned it adter their DLP TV's got discontinued by Panasonic and Samsung.

DLPs that mitsubishi makes are really good tho. Cnet is silly for not reviewing them as Mitsu 3D DLPs (the 6 color wheel ones) blow away LED and Plasmas when it comes to 3D. 3 color wheel ones (non 120 hz) may give rainbows and should be avoided.

I have a 67 Samsung LED DLP in the bedroom and that thing is honestly one of the best TVs ever made. Fully 3D capable, no ghosting or crosstalk for 3D, amazing 2D picture, no bulbs to replace, 100,000 hour LED light engine...I really won't need a new TV till 2020.

Such a shame Samsung discontinued them.

Cnet did review my TV - http://cnettv.cnet.com/samsung-hl61a750/9742-1_53-50003163.html

Unfortunately the split/full screen trick with shutter glasses requires modified glasses. Normally it's one eye shuttered, other eye open, the trick uses both eyes open, both eyes closed. Just a simple switch on the glasses would work. That's something that wouldn't change the tv hardware/firmware or PS3 firmware, except maybe a automatic switch in Sony modified shutttered glasses only, which would be limited to new Sony tv/shutter setups. So... it ain't going to happen for me with my Pansonic 3d plasma and glasses, unless Pansonic comes out with new full/split screen capable shutters (licensed by Sony?), and then i'd have to buy 2 new glasses, no thanks.

yeah, i believe i got my Mitsubishi in 2008, 60Hz, so its not a 3D model.

i dont know if its the bulb getting old, but its picture is definitely not as vibrant as other HD TV's like my brothers edge lit LED LCD TV.

Also whats stupid is unlike Samsungs old DLP's, Mitsubishi doesnt use LED bulbs, just the rugular kind.

its also stupid that cnet doesnt review the DLP's because i have no way of knowing if Mitsubishi's picture quality has improved and if their 3D is as good as other TV (plasma,LCD, LED), but you did say its good 3D.

and ive never noticed any rainbow effects on my TV, and though i still enjoy its picture quality, and great black levels, its still not nearly as good as other TV's

Sexy!!

Hmm.. I'm not sure, I guess it comes down to how much info the signal for synchronising the shutterglasses with the TV carries. If the signal can say to one pair of shutterglasses "close both eyes" and to the other one "open both eyes" at the same time, then it should definitely be possible with todays TVs/Shutterglasses (as all of them ofc should be able to activate both of their LCD screens at the same time). If the signal can't speak to the glasses individually, then you are right that the solution probably would be to set one of the glasses to right/right and the other to left/left, which you would need to do at the glasses themselves I imagine.

This is too much for me Sony. Infamous 2 in a week and now this. I came.
