According to the note some of the content is exclusive to the service, so who knows.
Wow as long I can still play the game without paying and this is just extra stuff then I am fine.
If I get the slightest hint of lower or less quality/quantity in the actual game because of this system, then I am quitting COD and Activision have just lost one faithful customer.
But I hope and believe it won't be the latter.
The worst thing about this news is that if it is succesfull other gamedevs may do the same..
Best that can happen is MS makes a deal with them and announce that this service is included with xbox live Gold.

Talking about it some think the price hike of xbox live is because of Activision:
