How does putting it on another platform kill the series?

no its just kind of a fact that many series after they went multi suffered serious quality letdowns...

Stop flamebaiting. First you draw attention to Metal Gear Solid being on 360, and then you insult someone for saying that Konami is fucking with the MGS franchise. You implied that he was complaining about it coming to the XBOX 360, despite saying nothing about going multiplatform.

I smell a 360 fanboy =P.

Anyway, on topic.

I don't believe this is a reliable source, and it sounds like a very stupid decision aswell. I despise Platinum games, their games and Metal Gear Solid games are also at opposite ends of the scale, they have nothing in common, so why would they let them develop it?

The PC remakes also sound like a poor idea, the controls probably wouldn't work well and it is too much hassle, just for Konami to receive sub-par sales. Try downloading MGS4 through Steam aswell, it would take forever and a day.

Let's just hope Kojima is still working on Rising and that MGS5 is in developement for the near future too.
