I paid for the PS3, knowing that PSN was free. It's called a "selling point" of the system.

Like I said earlier, I get Sunday evenings to game and that's about it. I was excited to falsely build up hope that I could play Portal 2 online (though it appears that I may be able to do so anyway thanks to another poster) after 20 days or actually enter the SOCOM 4 beta after 25 days.

As it stands now, I have to wait another week to have a go at those games. After three weeks, I have every right to continue to be pissed off at how Sony has handled this situation and I'm going to make sure they lose some of my money from it.

Sony screwed up. I'll keep my PS3 because I like a lot of the games but Sony pissed me off and they'll lose money from it. As soon as I free up money after the house down payment, I'm buying a 360 for all multi-platform games.

As you know, I have no loyalty to a company and the only way companies pay attention to customers is when those customers start to leave for greener pastures. Microsoft hasn't really pissed me off for a few years so they'll be the beneficiary of Sony's screw-up.

Which is why Sony has been very conservative with its media outings. It seems some people just don't want to understand how things really work sometimes.

If gmail went down for 3 weeks plus, I would complain bitterly and never use the service again for email. Gmail is a free service. Gmail is a for profit business like PSN, just because it's free for the user doesn't mean that people shouldn't have expectations of reliable service. Reliability is an important issue for an online service. In fact, it's one of the basic standards an internet service should be judged by.



Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

You mad bro?

Relax. A few extra hours of no online gameplay isn't going to have a big impact on your life. You can play single player games, or you are bound to have some other hobbies. Listen to some music, watch a movie, turn on the TV.

Sony mess up, yes. So do all big companies, but I guess Sony seems to mess up quite a lot. I don't care though, their products are so good in my opinion that I am willing to overlook a few mess ups.

Well, I'm sure India isn't that bad.  It would take a pretty odd series of circumstances in order for Dr. Grass to be your dad.  Well, actually very disturbing.  I'm not sure I want to follow that train of thought any farther.
