Back when VGChartz.com was VGCharts.org there was a list of smileys to pick from with a variety of expressions.
But when the site was updated these new school smileys took their place.
But the site still uses the old ones if you remember the keys to use to make the expression like:
smile = colon + hyphen + right parenthesis
laugh = colon + hyphen + capital D
sad = colon + hyphen + left parenthesis
If the proper combination of symbols was used the graphic would come out. If not, you'd just see a juxtaposition of text symbols instead of a solid graphic.
Sometimes the new smileys don't have the appropiate look for the expression I want to express and I need to use the old ones. Sometimes the new ones have a smiley that's cool like the 'moneymouth' & the 'cool sunglasses'. Depending on the mood I want to express I use both or either set.
Problem is I don't remember all of the old set & ASCII symbology doesn't always correspond.
For example I need to make a proper angry face or frustrated face for that Wisconsin senator who wants to tax gaming thread. The new school one doesn't get my expression across.
Does anybody have access to the proper ways to do the old smileys?
