excuses, I have never seen fans make as many as Nintendo fans do. There are freaking 87 million users, I doubt most of them has that backlog, they have different taste, you can't just spend months ignoring the consoles. Adding insult, you have fans defending this shit.

Go tell that to the Japanese people who buying less than 8k right now, this is the console leader, you can't take breaks.

Where the heck are you getting that from?  Last week was not 8k in hardware and ten times that in software... psrock I really don't know why you're taking such offense to a thread not negative and you have to insist everyone needs to be negative, we get it you like to make these statements cause you've got something to prove, other people have their own views, personally I own all the current consoles, there's a bit of a drought in games I want no matter the console, last game I REALLY wanted on home consoles was LBP2, and that was in Jan... it's been 3 months since then... does that mean I'm negative and whing about PS3? Am I whining about 360?  Am I whining about Wii?

No I'm using this time to catch up on my gaming and play my portables... and using the money to flesh out my classic games collection.

Seriously different strokes for different folks, it's mighty funny the demographic wanting to whine about other consoles, just as you're suspect of "Nintendo fans" motives many would be suspect of your motives... just saying >_>

All I see is people trying to put a positive spin from a negative situation. Ok, Even I have games I haven' touched yet, but if Sony had done the same thing, I would be front and center telling you how they screwed up. Why is it so hard to say Nintendo fucked up, why the need to create copycat thread because you wanted some positivity, there's nothing positive about what Nintendo has done with the Wii in 2011 so far, nothing.

This is why the comunity has gone down lately, people think that disagreeing with their opinions is being negative, thus conversation stops.

Go to gaf and put a thread about how good it feels  Nintendo basicly abondoned the Wii this year to focus on the 3ds and Pokemon because it allowed a few people to catch up, see how positive the responses will be.

It's denial, people are trying to cope, I see it on many threads, as PSP fan I went through this, there's nothing positive about this situaion.

If you're getting emotionally invested over video games not releasing on your platform of choice... that's pretty sad...

You know for every "copy cat" positive thread there are about 5 negative threads taking a crap on the situation usually from people who've voiced how they don't even own the console... people who don't own the console literally have no reason at all to whine about games not releasing on a console they don't flipping own...

And gaf is a pretty bad community, very elitist... their terrible attitude over there is the entire reason VGC is here now... there's only a few things I feel they do right, but the attitude of their posters and community is not one of them sorry, if you like that sort of thing take it over there...

No offense, but that seems like an excuse to me. The more games the better, that's obvious. Just because you don't want to play new games it doesn't mean others shouldn't be able to. Besides, just because they release games no-one is putting a gun on your head to play them, you can take a break whenever you want or choose not to play some games.

Correct it is a postive part of a negative situation. I prefer glass half full you prefer glass half empty in tthis case I can easily still enjoy my half full glass. Plus, whats wrong with some half full glasses around. Boards tend not to have awhole lot of them. They are mostly negative threads full of petty dislike or simply trolling.

Theres already  the other thread that is full of people of the discussion of  Nintendo is so bad I feel screwed with this drought.

THeres a reason why i post here not other sites. IF i wanted nothing buts trolls and people full of rage I would go elsewhere.

Whats to deny? Noone here is disargreeing that nothing is really coming out. Just that it gives us time to finish and/or pick up games we wanted to try before but didnt have the time/money.  THere is plenty of games I would like to play. That my friend is not denial that is a fact. I am far from the first person to use this kind of time to play catch up. Im not the first person to come out and say its nice to have a little bit of a draught. Ive seen in it in other threads before where people are waiting on a certain game for their next purchase and in the meantime playing a game they missed. I dont recall people claiming they are denying things which they are not.

Edit In order to cope you need to feel you are in a situation that requires coping. This is not one of them for some of us.

It's not trolling to post disagreeing with your OP.

Did i call it trolling? It was a general statement about boards. Dont twist what I said  please.

It seemed to be the general thrust of a couple of your posts to me. Apologies if I msinterpreted them.

No p roblem. My first response was my attempt of keeping this on the glass half full part. I figured since the other thread had been up a lot longer this one could be the 2-3 pages of people who while not really being for droughts could see a postive part of it. I know it was a bit naive, but in reallity thats me lol.

I said this on another thread, but let me say this in another way...

I actually agree with the poster, I'm in the same boat as him (and the rest that are).

Got time and money (and gaming experience) to burn on every new releases? Good God, that's great, more power to you. Bloody hell, we even envy you for it and feel sorry for your gaming urges not to be satisfy. But those urges of ours are twice as much, 'cause for gamers like us who have less to work with, try to do all that we can, even in the worst times.

Am I happy that there are no (good) games flying out right now? No, but atleast it's better moping around on a forum or even right infront of their doors than actually make up for lost cause. And I'm a collector with little spending power.

Again, we really do feel your pain in this drought, but we got our own to content with...

And Kenology, I feel your pain, I myself am doing double time with work and school wich one is eating up everything else that I want to do...

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

@conegamer  good move on serving MS, seriously kinda funny. TO be fair there was a thread or 2 about MS' lack of 3rd party support, howevever. We expect much more from Ninty than MS (at least i do) especially when it comes to 1st party. Its kind of understood that MS 1st party isnt all that. Sony is the only one kicking ass this year. But dont worry they are going to have a drought next year for PS3 while they support their NGp if they dont then they are trully monsters among men

Why is it every time Nintendo doesn't release a new game in 30 days, people start claiming there's a 'drought'.  By many peoples own admissions on here, they have yet to buy every title they wanted.

And hell, they just released the 3DS.  You can't expect a Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime every month.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

Well, since there's over 10 games I want for the Wii alone...yes, I'm happy. It also means I'm not buying new games just before exams...

I've mentioned this earlier, but it's nice to have some good, solid, logical opinions on this sort of thing for once. Doom is nice, but it's time for a break from it me thinks.

Does this mean the whole drought thing is over for good now? Can we be quiet about it and just, I dunno, move on?

The drought is not over until Nintendo releases good games again. Its been 4-5 months since the last good wii game. That is unacceptable. Quit defending a company that has clearly made a mistake. Playing older games is great, but justifying the lack of any new games is just foolishness.

No, I meant threads about the drought

When was the last good Microsoft game anyway, out of interest? You know, first party...

You know they actually get 3rd party games worth playing  And last good Microsoft game was released somewhere in xbox1 times anyway

In short, Nintendo is not wholly to blame for this.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Oh yeah, I'm well aware of that.

But the problem isn't just for Nintendo, even if it is the worst...

I mean, how many games are there coming out for the HD consoles in May onwards? I can count but a few...they'll be a drought for all consoles.

And like someone said, you can't expect a Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime EVERY MONTH. That's not the way Nintendo works

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
