Forums - Gaming Discussion - For Players Who Bought Crysis 2 (All platforms)

Which platform did you buy it for? And, ignoring the review hype, are you actually satisfied with the game? I bought mine for PS3 last night, but I don't know if I should open it yet, due to the review scares (yes, scares lol). So, who's thoroughly enjoying it, or hating it?

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Very, Very satisfied with the Multiplayer alone with the exception of the lag/hit detection issues that occur every few matchs.

Tried the single player for a bit and it was very fun. I'd giving this game a 4/5 stars so far. Really minor complaints...

I heard about the PC version and I'm sad for PC games (no way to customize all the graphics) looks like Crytek knew console sales would be better so they screwed over PC gamers.

It's just that simple.

ive got my trades ready for the 25th im going to give it a shot. il be getting it on ps3. can someone give feedback on multiplayer?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I'll start playing in an hour; I'll post how the ps3 multiplayer is!

Play the singleplayer first unless you don't want to get spoiled by the graphics. The multiplayer looks close to as good but singleplayer is unbelievable. Beyond that multiplayer is very fun and the singleplayer is awesome. I'm starting mission 9 and there are a total of 19 missions. I have 3.75 hours of playtime according to the game but counting deaths and cutscenes i bet its closer to 5. WIth only being less than halfway this is truly a 10 hr game.  Its a must buy and has alot of content. I honestly don't know how they fit this on one DVD but it makes me question other devs who can't fit certain games on one DVD.

i got it for ps3. so far id give it an 8.4.

it looks great, but honestly i dont think it really compares to games like uncharted, killzone, and god of war.

there's just too many graphically inconsistancies. pop in, frame rate issue, low res textures (especially plants), and not the strongest of character models. it makes me really scratch my head at sites like ign. i just dont see it. crysis at its best is one of the best, but the problem is, it often isnt at its best

I trudged through some of it on the PC. I feel like it plays even worse than Crysis 1, so I'd give it about a 5, out of 10. The graphics aren't even as jaw dropping as Crysis 1's were back then, so it doesn't even have that going for it.

(It plays extremely stable on absolute max settings on my PC, and it's a good looking game, just nowehere near as amazing as Crysis was at the time. )

Can you install it on the PS3?  Does it make a difference on the 360 if you install vs. if you dont?  Still trying to figure out which version to get.  Normally I get multiplats for the PS3, but if there's a quality difference, I go 360.  But I don't have a HD on the 360.

Pity but I thought that would be the case.  I'm going to skip it on PC and just get it on console - probably 360 but maybe PS3 depending on DF analysis and reading a few more reviews.  The more I read about the PC version the more I felt the game wasn't going to seem as good to me on PC vs a console.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Well, I tried the multiplayer on a 22'' HD PC monitor (for ps3), and the game looks great. It's certainly not as good as Killzone 3, haven't had enough time to notice the graphical issues, but,  the multiplayer was fun.  The controls feel a tad bit quirky; hit detection is fine, I'm just having a few issues getting used to the gameplay since it seems everyone is running around in cloak and then shooting whoever isn't. So far I'm enjoying it, I'll post later about the single player.
