SCEP decided to brag a bit about it's sales today :)

300k PS3 have been sold (previous press release was published at start of December with 250k PS3)

Playstation brand has 72,4% of total Polish marketshare.

64,4% of market share in home consoles ( 51,3% is PS3 alone)   // i assume it's for 2010 then as PS2 was above 500k few years ago)

PSP has 95,4% percent of handheld consoles marketshare

so Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) with over 1 mil (December) and Poland = 1.3 mil of the Other Europe HW (2.631 mil this week).

Ha i found what is in others Europe = Benelux,Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary,Ireland, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece,Poland, Ukraine,Russia.

and another 110k from only 2010 in Switzerland (so they are at least 200-300k lifetime):

Portugal is part of Iberia and Russia could also be in Others.

Sounds like Nintendo hasn't even released the DS in Poland. So yeah, that would actually make sense then. I doubt Microsoft has  released the 360 in Poland. The Wii probably has the other 49% of the market. It's amazing how Sony brags about markets where there's no competition there. lol!! In the markets that actually count, they are getting killed still. Overall the Wii is beating them in Japan, Europe and America. Yeah.. Wii sales are down during the off-season of Spring and Summer, but when Oct, Nov & Dec rolls in, the Wii continues to destroy the PS3 in sales Worldwide. Even the XBox 360 provided a decent fight this past holiday. I expect Nintendo will probably do another price cut Wii ($149) and the game will be over.
