I bought the ps3 to plays its games,so they're the system seller.

Thats why people buy the system the libary itself is a system seller.

I don't know why people think differently.

Because Halo single handidly made the xbox what it is today. Same with Mario.

PS3 had other system sellers like God of War 3 and Uncharted 2. And I think GT5 helped the PS3 for the holidays. ( In terms of YoY. The PS3 wasn't down massively ) The only time I think well see the PS3 trend above YoY massively is by a price cut.

PS :

A little sidenote. It does seem the PS3 has atleast one exclusive release for every month of the year.

Jan - LBP2
Feb - KZ3
March - MLB / Heroes
April - Motorstorm
May - Socom 4
June - Infamous 2
July - ?
August - ?
Sept - Resistance 3
Oct - ?
Nov - UC3
Dec - ?

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Slaughterhouse Is The Sh*t  .... NOW ........ B_E_L_I_E_V_E

I don't know what your talking about cause every PS3 exclusive is a system seller!

I think Sony made a huge mistake by not getting a system seller early on in this gen, and creating such a negative press around itself.

I think some mediocre system sellers will be sufficient until FF v13 releases(if its exclusive), I expect KZ3, UC3 to be system sellers but I am not sure about KZ3.

i think its a load of BS. people dont buy a system for just 1 game (no matter how much they like to deny it).

So everytime the Wii brought out games like.

Wii Fit

Super Smash Bros Brawl

Wii Sports Resorts

Wii Fit Plus

Mario Kart Wii

New Super Marios Bro Wii.

The fact that the Wii always went on a huge selling streak. Has nothing to do with console sellers. Also that all of the games have sold over 10million. In some cases over 15, and others over 20 million.

Everytime Halo releases the 360 surges for that month. Those same Halo games are 10 million sellers or about 7 million.

The PS3 titles No 10 million sellers, and no huge numbers in console sales. The PS3 only has 2 exclusive 5 million sellers. Console sellers are real just because the PS3 doesn't have any doesn't mean it not true!

All that shows are two different business approaches.  Microsoft and Nintendo invest heavily in one universally acclaimed franchise in Halo and Mario respectively and use them as their "flagship" franchises.  As a 360 or Wii owner, you're pretty obligated to buy a Halo or Mario game.  Sony IMO, is focusing more on diversity of games since they own so many first party studios.  So it makes more sense strategically to spread their resources acorss their various studios and allow them to create a more diverse game library.  As a gaming fan, it really shouldn't matter to you whether a game sells 10 million copies or 1 million copies.  The only thing that should matter is whether they're enjoyable to you or not.

I bought a 360 for mass effect. If it was on the pc the same time as the 360 i'd still xbox free.

I bought a ps3 for god of war 3. I bought a 360 to play halo 2 online with friends. I bought a gamecube to play super smash bros melee. Pretty much all systems in the past two gens have had great libraries. Its the few gem titles on a system that sway me to buy it.

A huge collection of exclusives is meaningless if people prefer the multiplatform titles anyway.

One thing should be noted, the $100 Walmart gift cards when MGS4 came out.

Anyway the fact remains that Sony was not lucky enough and they didn't get the right features at the right times into their games for them to make big impacts. They were not some combination of unique enough, compelling enough or broad enough in potential audience for the most part. Therefore no matter what you say of the quality of their exclusives, the exclusives and timed exclusives of both Nintendo especially and Microsoft have had a bigger impact. This is why it appears they don't have many system sellers.

Tease.

At this point if there is not a game already being made or coming out and announced that you want from Sony than I think that person is not much of a gamer.

So there is probably nothing left except possibly some move games that are unique, but I doubt there is anything. The bottom line is a pricecut is probably the only thing that will increase sales significantly.

You just said that the 80% of gamers who are uninterested are not gamers?
