Yes they can. They need to make "Wii games." Game like Wii Sports and Mario Kart.


Motion Plus is how you do it. People bought the Wii for motion control games. They wanted to be swinging and clashing swords. Game like Skyward Sword can increase sales, if it focuses on quick, fast gameplay and no puzzles. Other motion gfames can help too, like a Starfox Wii. It comes down to making Wii software, which is something Nintendo hasn't been doing.

Something I've seen spread over the Internet over the past few months. Not just on this site, or other forums, but on respected news channels. Heck, even BBC news said it. 

But is it really doomed? There's no doubt that it could, and should, be selling better than it is, and IGN may have just found the solution:

The worrying thing is, that all 7 of those things mentioned in the article could, very easily, be implemented by Nintendo for next to no money. And we'd all be partying like it's 2008.

But this is Nintendo. Let's not forget that. They never released Earthbound. Why would they TLS?

I'm just going to assume you were joking at this part and not being serious.

So let's say that, hypothetically, the Wii needs to be saved. From something.

Some things that could help in that hypothetical case are:

- Slight price drop, probably putting the Wii in the $100 or something.

- Player's Choice line for old games, like SMG1, SSBB, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime 3... but don't make the games that much cheaper, most don't need that to continue selling, actually.

- Bring over Dragon Quest X, Last Story and Xenoblade, for f*ck's sake.

That's what I can think about.

Nah wii's in it's steady decline to old age and obsoletion, they will let it run it's course and focus on 3DS then come out with a new console

Wow. Sales for the Wii declined after being on the market for almost 4.5 years. Gee, I wonder why that is.

I guess the only explanation is that the Wii is doomed.

...you do know that this is deliberate right? You don't need anyone to tell me that the Wii isn't doomed. I'm just commenting on the article and adding my own spin to it, is all

Who knows, his threads just seem to get worse as time goes on.

On a sidenote, he still hasn't written about what I suggested to him a few weeks back. I suppose it's too hot/touchy of a topic, so he's scared.

Technically speaking everything that ever exists in anyway is doomed

Why? Europeans hate RPG's

I know. But, so what? The point of that thread was to make Nintendo and other companies aware that the European market exist, and the only reason I could see for the lack of any cohearant localisation attempts is that they think we hate RPG's
