3. technical specification on the level of current day smartphone

Simply not true. And I believe we've discussed this already.

If i get a portable it's going to be PSP2 unfortunately. The graphics are just so much better. I'm still impressed by the 3DS overall but a lil disappointed by the relatively poor grafix.

I'm gonna get both as well. I'll be getting 3DS on launch. I'm really excited to see what original games the 3DS comes out with. And the NGP I may get out launch depending on the price.

3DS first and if and when the price goes down will get psp2

Its hard for me to take my PSP on the run.  The psp is difficult to carry around unless its winter and I have a bulky winter coat on.

The ds fits into my shorts pocket.

So it looks like psp2 will be the same size and it if  I carry it around in summer I will mess up the analog sticks like I did with my PSP's

Plus I am an old nintendo fan and the 3d opens up new game play opportunities.

so the analog sticks do get problems being in pockets?

i don't know why the thinness of the NGP is being bragged about ever.

I see the NGP as a WIDER, and LONGER PSP.  The two factors that effect fitting in my pocket the most.  I mean hell seeing as your most likely on sitting down on computers right now, just look down at your pants right now with your phone in them right now.  Now imagine this NEW huge NGP in its place.  Not even sure if it could fit in my pocket or if it could if i could sit down without it stretchign my pocket area and be pokcing into my waist.  Am i going to have to go back to the 90's and wear super baggy jeans again

I have pants with big pockets.. Usually carry all kinda stuff around in them and don't really notice it. While i've noticed that particular thing is going to be a problem for you and some others. I don't think it will pose much of an issue for me.. I also have a "bag" for the psp that also has room for 4 umd discs that i usually carry in my pocket to protect the screen.. :P will probably modify it.

I know that was completely random, but I figured it was related and it's to tell that it's not gonna be as much of a problem as it's made out to be.

Check out my game about moles ^

I was trying to be nice I'm fully aware 3DS can't match processing power of Iphone 4 or Galaxy S.

3DS is more ideal as a portable pure gaming device for me atm, I don't usually take my PSP out because it's always been a big pain in my fucking ass in a literal way O_O; Not to mention that due to the nature of the PSP design, I have to put another protective cover over it which makes it even thicker, NGP is not fixing that issue clearly, and that's a big slap in my face as far as the portability of the device goes which is not something I'd have to worry about with the 3DS.

I already know 3DS will come out with really good "portable" games too, I'm not looking for a deep immersive experience in handheld overall because the screen size is too small and the sound is abyssmal on the road. I'd need a powerful PC or a home console for that. I also don't see the price of NGP games being cheap due to the sheer power, if the 3DS games' price is going to be higher than DS games, I can't imagen the NGP games being the same or cheaper, you'd be paying 50-60 bucks for games and they won't even be HD res even if there is a video out option.

NGP is going to end up like my PSP, I won't buy it for years after release and will look for mint used ones instead of new, that way I can pick up 2, one for hacking and one pure legit, and pretty much never leave the house with them.

3DS, EASILY. It's not even a question.

I won't be getting either anytime soon but most likely I'll get PSP2 once it drops to $200 or less. I don't put too much value on handhelds so no way I'm paying launch prices for either.

I still might buy a DS before I even think about a 3DS to be honest! I still want a DS for Pokemon White and Scribblenauts.
