Apparently the US military is using remotely controlled robot soldiers in combat practice. The above is about the size of a riding lawnmower and equipped with an assault rifle and grenade launcher. They are still operated by humans...until we build skynet.

It gained sentience, escaped the military compound and was never seen again. It is rumored That he is in nebraska working as an accountant, he has a rocky marriage with a Ford Taurus and drinks just a little too much, but not quite so much that his friends say something about it. We're all worried.
