why does it feels like GT is being released for the first time? all this talk about it being a "simulator" and all like it's something new.

I dont care. Its just that regardless of the reviews that gt5 gets and NFShp gets gt5 will most likely do better in terms of sales, and yes regardless i do love criterion games more then i ever would polyphony =D

ITS GRAN TURISMO 5 BITCH

A lot of what they say about Gran Turismo 5 could be said about all simulation racers; and a lot of the reason I avoid the sub-genre in general is because it is full of generic games that seem sterile.

With that said, I don't have a clue how Gran Turismo 5 will sell. Back in the day, Gran Turismo games stood head and shoulders above their competition and if you wanted a simulation racing game you had to buy Gran Tursimo (and the Playstation or PS2 if you didn't already own it). Today, I don't think you can make the a similar case for Gran Turismo 5. I don't doubt it will sell millions upon millions of units, but it will probably not be the best selling Gran Turismo game; and may not even pass the sales of Gran Turismo 4.

They made F1 2010 which can be played as a sim if you turn off the driver assists.
