Forums - General Discussion - I got an iPhone 4...recommendations

After a lot of thinking, I decided to change my 4 years old cell phone to a Smartphone...Still not sure what the "Smart" in Smartphone means. I wasn't much into the portable/Smartphone field.

In the end, I decided to get an iPhone 4 after reading reviews and tips from here and there.

So far I'm having a blast with it.
I can do so many things with such a little piece of technology.
There are so many applications and games on the tip of my fingers.

I bought a few things and downloaded many free apps...Here are a few games I got:

- Final Fantasy (Remake of the original Nintendo game.)...I'm having a blast of the past with it.
- Final Fantasy II: Waiting to finish the first one.
- Angry Birds: When I'm doing number 2. ;)
- etc.

I know there have been lots goodies out there for a while that I do not know about.

Do you guys/gals have any recommendations on applications and games?

I'm like a little kid with a new toy right now. :)

I recommend you not to hold it from the the left side or you'll lose your network signal.

I made a smartphone app thread a while ago (they are AMAZING, aren't they?) but it didn't get very many replies.  Plus, I have a Droid so some of my favorite apps may not apply to you.  But here's a couple that I love:

Shazam:  If a song is playing and you want to know something about it, let your phone listen.  It will identify the song, artist, lyrics, etc.  Pretty impressive.

Google Goggles:  Take a picture of something with your phone and it will look it up for you.  It can translate languages, read text, look up products, and (I haven't tried it yet but it says it can) look up info about a store, and sales, etc. by taking a picture of the place.  It can even identify art/artist info if you take a picture of a picture!

Vaulty:  If you have someone that likes snooping through your phone, Vaulty can hide your porn and secret pics/videos.  It looks like an app for the stock market but you can fill it with pics of boobs!  BOOBS!

Places:  If you're looking for a restaurant, a strip club, an ATM, a gas station or whatever, just use "Places".  If it's near you, it will give you the address, directions, phone number, and info.  Even customer ratings.

Bar Code Scanner:  Take a picture of a barcode.  Soon, you'll know what the item costs AND if there's any place nearby that sells it cheaper!

Flickster (Powered by Rotten Tomatoes):  Movie times, movie trailers, movie reviews, box office info, if it's movie related, you got it in your hand.

I Heart Radio (or any radio app, really):  Let's you listen to your favorite radio station or personality no matter where you are.

My Days:  Keep track of your period and when you are ovulating.  No more surprises!  Oh....nevermind.

Of course, Smart Phones are all alien technology that the government uses to keep track of your moves, preferences, habits, and porn.  But that's just a small price to pay for something so fun!!  All hail our future alien government!!

Try super K.O boxing. This game is cool !
