I'm going to pass until it hit's $200cdn. I just don't value portable devices that much when it's over $200. Let alone in the end i'm looking to buy a total of 3 machines(myself, wife, daughter). So no, not $900, $600 tops. Not counting taxes.

I'm wondering if this will play out similar to the the PS2, PSP/PS3 fiasco. PS2 major hit, massive demands. PSP/PS3 everyone assumes massive consumer desire and will buy the products online for insane amounts. In the end.. nope. I'm certainly getting that impression this time.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Hey if you guys don't like the price then go out and get a second job. Thats what we had to do for the PS3 - why not the 3DS?

Anything beyond $199 is too much.  If it's $300 they basically PS3'd the 3DS. $250 is still asking too much, but it doesn't have the same mental punch in the balls as $300.

Unless the 3DS is your only system (seeing it as replacing the home console), then the lines blur quite a bit and make it worth it.
