excellent reviews, not quite in the very rare SMG1/2, UC2 and ME2 range but still excellent scores and I cant wait to play this game!!!

I'm really happy with the reviews it's getting... not too high and not too low ^___^ . The problem I had with Super Mario Galaxy 2 is that the reviewers hyped and praised it so much, that when I got around to playing it I was expecting something extremely awesomely amazing. I loved it still, but there was no way that the game could match what I hyped it up to be XD. 

I still predict Reach to end up being 94 on metacritic... a very nice place to be . 

360 homepage says 92 after 17 reviews. Reach page says 93 after 12 reviews.

Metacritic is all in a tizzy.

It's not good for Halo though, certain franchises need to live up to certain expectations, if this were an unknown franchise though you're right, it'd be fantastic.

And fanboys, who use the meta score to undermine games that are not on their console. All too common a problem, and very annoying at best.

A lot of companies know by slating Halo Reach they will get free advertising. People will visit their site to read the bad review rather then go and read every 100% score. Reading some of the lower score reviews it is obvious that is what a few have done. A few of them are genuine scores too. It would not surprise me one bit to see Reach get a 7 score from someone.

The only review that should matter is your own. We live in a world now where sites review games on a lot of different external factors rather then just the game itself. Some think they should get a free weekend in some hotel and some think they should get some special treatment. Very few places these day's review the games and score them totally on just the game. The only place i tend to agree with is Eurogamer. A 9/10 score from them is a massive score. Too many games this gen have got 9 or 10's when they didn't deserve them.

I remember preaching to the Sony fans bitching about the review scores being low for titles they love so it would be hypocritical to not say the same in here.  It's a number, seriously guys every review is very positive and this isn't going to affect your enjoyment of the game.

come on its not that bad, halo 3 might have scored higher but thats 3 years ago. this deffo looks better than H3 but is much updated than halo 3, of halo 3 and reach came out in same year i could see reach scoring higher.

just read the ign review, apart from lack of multiplayer maps and inability to hop into custom games and few grafix stutters here and there its about as good as youl get, had i had live i would pick this up looks terrific

is there any reason it only has 12 maps? surely they could have fitted as many as halo 3. i hear most of the maps are from previous halo games? or possibly 6 new maps the rest old ones.
